But I just have to share my immediate reaction.

That was an incredibly lifeless, uncomfortable, mechanical, joyless, and yes evasive and deceptive presentation. Watch his eyes and body language. It's Witness Evasion 101. Something is amiss.

FORT flagged this immigration issue in the first 60 seconds after his identity was revealed as a difficult and likely relationship killing barrier. It doesn't take a genuis. You'd think with all those phone calls and rendezvous they would have sorted it out.

Instead he just keeps saying we're taking our time, time will tell, there's no rush.

I am so sad for Bamabrain when she watches this Vid. No wedding, Bama.

Yep, that is the way that I saw it as well! The interview was very flat and he was talking w/no emotion at all. Didn't seem like he was so in love that he couldn't wait until his choice could be revealed to the world. He look sort of bored actually...

If they are so in love, they might as well get married now. Even if they just stay engaged they are still "settling down"... Unless they have an engagement where they are able to see other people. The time to have fun w/during the show. Now it is time to get serious and see if their relationship can make it in the real world. They are never going to have more fun than the had on the show. They were wined and dined in exotic locations and given over the top dates. Now it is the time to deal w/real life issues like jobs, bills, taking out the trash, and whether or not the toilet paper roll goes over or under. Plus, if they get married that will help take care of the pesky immigration issue as welll...

Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers

I realize that everything is pointing to Shayne as winning. My questions is "do we really know"? However, remember, Fleissa--atola is showing what he wants to show...we don't get all the nitty gritty. It is odd to me that Shayne has be shown out there constantly and Chelsea has been in the background. My questions is..."Why".

With regard to all the shots of the rose...there are numerous cameras that are taking shots from every angle possible and there again, Fleissa--atola is showing what he want us to see.

Shayne is a young lady who actually has grown on me, she is cute, vivacious, outgoing, witty, high maintenance, and somewhat of a drama queen. I love her to death. However, she has so much ahead of her with her career and experiencing life. Would she honestly want to settle down? Would she want to move to England with her career in the balance and not being near "Hollywood"? No, I don't think so.

Chelsea, has experienced life somewhat greater in reality then in "Hollywood" than Shayne. She is already established in her career consistently where jobs in acting is not consistent. I do believe she is ready to settle down into a relationship. I respect her for her personal stance on PDA. That is her right. At least she is being honest with him in that area. We do not see the "behind scenes" where they do talk and bond to a greater degree. I do believe that Chelsea is more private with her personal relationships (regardless of the changing of the nightgown etc. we don't know what Fleissa--atold did to get that into play.

Matt wants a family with a solid foundation like he was raise in. Shayne comes from a broken family...Chelsea come from a family that remains together. Family is very important to Matt, to Shayne and to Chelsea. He said that Shayne makes him feel like he is sixteen again. Reality...he is not sixteen.

I love both of the ladies. My opinion is that if this is not "fixed" then he will go with Chelsea, if it is "fixed" then he will go with Shayne.

Again...I love both ladies but in the end I believe if he is looking for everything that he said early on, then he will choose Chelsea.

It does not matter with me whom he may choose because I do love them both, but it is Matt's decision. I do believe that no relationship will continue strong under these circumstances. Once whomever he chooses get out in the real world, then the can have som normalacy to their lives and if it is meant to be then hopefully they both can say they found their soulmate.

Yes, he was blah, but we could chalk it up to being tired, but we also saw him drinking in every episode. Those English cheeks were flushed and he always had that drowsy, lothario look going.

So maybe he's just being English. They are also less animated and more laid back than we are.
How is he contradicting himself, he said he was ready to get married, but I don't think he meant as so as the show is done with airing. He's on the road to marriage, now that he's met someone, compared to when he didn't have anybody. Give him a year or two. Trista also said she didn't want to get married soon, but it didn't take her too long.

Ever watch the English version of Antiques Roadshow? When working-class-looking people are told that the silver ewer they dug out of their attic is a 13th-century artifact worth in excess of 2 million pounds, they barely blink and say something like: Righty-o then. Thank you, and please have a nice day. Americans who look to be of quite substantial means hear that the rug they bought for 1000 dollars is worth 10,000 scream like six-year-olds and hug the antique-twins and all the cameramen.

Matt will follow his heart, and that means he will choose the one he fell in love with, even if that's not the person who has all the things he is looking for. Love is patient, which means it helps you to endure any flaws, faults or trouble as to choosing a person that just have only the qualities you are looking for...because no one is perfect, which means they have flaws and you have to have something to help you deal with them.

If -- as Matt has made clear off camera -- they were essentially auditioning to be a talk show host in America, they might step it up a bit tho.

Before he announces his final decision, ET spoke to Matt about why he thinks his on-air romance may be the first "Bachelor" relationship to succeed, and about his immediate plans for the future, such as will they set a wedding date?

But before the British bachelor makes his final decision and presents one of the lucky ladies with a $60,000 Tacori engagement ring, he takes them to London to meet his family -- his mother TRISH, his dad TONY and his brother SIMON -- who advise him on his final selection.

"The Bachelor: London Calling" airs Monday, May 12 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
Terrific interview! Thank you again casualfan for all that you have found for us!

His face really lit up when talking about his fiance', and truly he seemed stress by talking about immigration rules. What is different this season is how he and his one talk every day and try to see eachother as much as possible.

I cannot wait to see the most romantic proposal in Bachelor history!

That is an excellent point, natashapierre! I have noticed that too when watching that show.

I guess that shows we all just choose to see what we can accept. So what are you suggesting, they get married next week

Oh, this post had me - and I am at work! Supposed to be working!

too funny. Of what is the show that gives contestants like 200 pounds to go find antiques and then resell them at auction? Hilarious!

I was hoping when I first read the Parade magazine snippet about Matt and Shayne on a Caribbean get-away right after filming wrapped that this was a Fleiss honeymoon gift. But I guess it was just an engagement gift, alas. Then I'd hoped for a June wedding, but was told the February sweeps would be a more symbolically perfect time. But, I never got this question answered: isn't there a November sweeps? That's what I'm hoping for.
