Isn't that the truth aanjheni!? What do you think "formercasualfan"? That's just too long! I like the irony of "casualfan" because it seems my posts have outed me as anything but I'm going back to truly being a casualfan for DeAnna's season though, it will be nice just to enjoy the ride again.

No worries. I don't blame them if they don't do any media. Of course the fans will want to hear from them, as will the naysayers. After all, what will the naysayers have to snark about once the book is closed on this season of the Bachelor?

This is the emotional climax. Weren't we all tired and excited on our wedding days? But the emotional high buoys the happy couple along the way. None of that here. Hopefully, when they are together ?

Andy B went straight back to work the very next day and flew from Hawaii to NYC to LA, and his sincere enthusiasm for the (sigh, short-lived) love match oozed from his very pores.

Matt looks like he wants to be done with it already.

Ironically, if (as I understand it) he is trying to break into hosting/talk show entertainment business here or in UK, he needs to pop in some Visine, down a Red Bull, and a Venti Triple Latte, and get ready for his close-up. A shave wouldn't hurt.

Yes, he was blah, but we could chalk it up to being tired, but we also saw him drinking in every episode. Those English cheeks were flushed and he always had that drowsy, lothario look going.

So maybe he's just being English. They are also less animated and more laid back than we are.

I don't think the contradictions are that big of an issue. When you go through this life changing experience your focus often shifts. Beforehand - he had a long range focus - wife and family. With the intensity of all the emotions going through him: loving someone, strong feelings for another, having to reject 24 women, physical exhaustion - your focus is going to shift to the here and now - it's all he can do to survive the next several weeks. Once they get past this hectic time and can relax and just BE - then the focus may shift again. They need to go one step at a time and just focus on that.

Matt is no Andy B. Personally, I'm quite pleased about that.

Because as of right now, I do not see him as the best bachelor ever. maybe the funniest and wittiest definately but not best. I'm still not seeing that plot twist that Fleiss was talking about that he said even he couldn't have dreamed up unless it was the HTD prank which I don't think it is because I know he had to have dreamed that one up.. there's no way amanda could have done that on her own.

Do you remember where you saw this? The only thing I can think of is that Matt, unlike Richard Gere in An Officer and a Gentleman, actually came to like his costar. His condescension towards her definitely seemed to diminish.

The plot twist, Fleiss's words, not mine, was Amanda's meeps. I always hated that she was referred to by Fleiss as a device, not a person, in his scheme.

I get the feeling that Matt uses pet names as an endearment, and not condescension ... sex kitten, snow monkey, etc. I find myself using pet names, much to the chagrin of my DH, the one he dislikes the most is honey bunny ... but it slips off my tongue all to easily.
