| Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers Matt Grant video Interview with ET 'The Bachelor' Talks Love And Marriage! MATT GRANT will make the most important decision of his life on Monday night's episode of "The Bachelor: London Calling," when he gets down on one knee and proposes to either CHELSEA or SHAYNE on the season finale of the series in what is being touted as "the most romantic finale" of all. Before he announces his final decision, ET spoke to Matt about why he thinks his on-air romance may be the first "Bachelor" relationship to succeed, and about his immediate plans for the future, such as will they set a wedding date? But before the British bachelor makes his final decision and presents one of the lucky ladies with a $60,000 Tacori engagement ring, he takes them to London to meet his family -- his mother TRISH, his dad TONY and his brother SIMON -- who advise him on his final selection. "The Bachelor: London Calling" airs Monday, May 12 at 10 p.m. on ABC. |

| Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers First, casualfan, great find, thanks. Truly, I would be delighted to shed my Oracle of Doom status, though I know no one will believe that. But I just have to share my immediate reaction. That was an incredibly lifeless, uncomfortable, mechanical, joyless, and yes evasive and deceptive presentation. Watch his eyes and body language. It's Witness Evasion 101. Something is amiss. FORT flagged this immigration issue in the first 60 seconds after his identity was revealed as a difficult and likely relationship killing barrier. It doesn't take a genuis. You'd think with all those phone calls and rendezvous they would have sorted it out. Instead he just keeps saying we're taking our time, time will tell, there's no rush. I am so sad for Bamabrain when she watches this Vid. No wedding, Bama. |

Your oracle of doom status, too funny jlccaz! It's pretty interesting how you and I can watch the video and see totally different things! My take was that Matt seemed very similar to how he was in the initial satellite interviews. I don't believe they are really his "cup of tea". Maybe sitting in a small room answering the same questions over and over gets a little tiresome? I thought he was pretty logical -- echoing what he said earlier about "having fun with the one" and also admitting that the immigrations issues "stress him out". He referred to the one as "my fiancee". Nascar it didn't really seem like they are rushing down the aisle anytime soon from this interview. Matt mentioned he is going to stay in the states for "a little while" and "they" would go to the UK together after that. Also mentioned enjoying life, sorting out their careers and not "rushing" and travelling with his chosen. Then he started talking a little bit about how the immigration issues are stressful and complicated. He said that the proposal was moving and emotional and hopes that comes across to the viewers. What else? Oh he said it wasn't a straightforward decision but he always knew that there was something there with his chosen but he was thinking it was too good to be true for a little while. Mentioned they have a strong connection and good communication.

Interesting interview -- Shayne is going to have to give up her "budding actress" career or run it from England? I think it would be hard to do that after you're just starting out. I don't think either one is at the point in their careers that they are wealthy enough to travel back and forth all of the time (like some other actors/actresses do). I've tried really hard to convince myself this is real. Maybe a lot went on behind the scenes. Maybe the closed-mouth pecks were because they wanted to share their real affection off camera (and I'm sure TPTB would let them because of the arrangements with Shayne). Maybe the questionable body language between them is a fluke. And maybe they really did fall in love. IDK. But I won't watch tonight. I will be here (if I can get on the boards and if kidlet is settled for the night)! I'll let you all fill me in on what's happening. I respect everyone's opinion, especially those who see a real love story, but I"m one of the few who think the whole thing is an act.
