| Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers RE: Stacey Hi guys. Don't want to bring down the mood or anything - but I think ABC had to have either "planted" Stacey - or she is really "mentally" off... I think if the latter is true - that Fleiss has sunk to an all-time low. I have a bipolar daughter. Mental illness is not funny. Hopefully this girl is "just" a "drunk" - and a "stupid" "plant" by TPTB, but if not - it was cruel - IMO. Even if she's not mentally ill, if how she portrayed herself is really how she is - that is just sad on every level - and they knew damn well that they would be exploiting it. It makes me like "The Bachelor" even less. I know I'm particularly sensitive to people laughing at people with diminished capacity, but however you slice it - if she WAS a "plant" - that is horrible - and if she WASN'T - it's even worse.... :o) BTW - You guys amaze me at what you do --- I don't have the brain power to figure out all the minute details you do. Very impressed. I don't get really passionate about this unless I get pissed off - like in the last season. I just have to say - it is just so fun to watch your brains work! Amazing! :o) |

| Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers The Bride to Be We've got some yum for all you boob-tube junkies who fill up your nights watching shows stocked out the wazoo with nothing but preservatives and empty calories. Hey, it may be bad for you, but damn, it's delish and fills a constant never-ending hunger for entertainment during those other six nights a week Lost ain't on. Desk Hookup called. See, our insider over at The Bachelor: London Calling (It's dubious the Clash had any say in lending their song title over to a televised dating competish) gave us some hints to picking this year's winner, since all the eps have already been filmed and edited. If ya like your reality TV with suspense and mystery, consider this your spoiler alert. Otherwise, call your Bachelor bookie ASAP! Turns out the winner of British boy-toy Matt Grant's (how Mr. Darcy-esque is that name?) affections is a flaxen-haired honey who "works in the Industry." Big shocker, eh? Way to narrow down the dolls. I bet every babe on the show considers herself an actress and/or model in one way or another, prolly since she's good-lookin' enough to score a sweet spot on the boob tube. When's the shy, mousy kindergarten teach gonna snag some reality TV ass? Print - Brawlin' Bodyguard Bedlam!

| Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers Everything I need to know about Lorenzo Lamas' daughter I learned from watching The Bachelor. Being attractive serves as a natural advantage in life. People just tend to respond more favorably to those who are beautiful, and to give them what they want. This is because, hey, you never know, a beautiful person might just sleep with you if you keep it up with that favorable responding. And as the old maxim goes, "A person who doesn't give preferential treatment to a hottie dies a thousand death, but a person who got to sleep with a hottie dies but one." Of course, this leads to little resistance in the life of a beautiful person, and without challenges or adversity, the souls and potential talents of those who are blessed with looks tend to wither and die. That, or the beautiful person overcompensates by trying to be extra nice and humble, and also trying new things with gusto, and all that can be pretty insufferable, too. Life is rough! Now, most people who take care of themselves are attractive in some way or another, and everybody has days when they are just 'on' and things work out for them. But there is a certain category of "beautiful" that, if a person is in it, they will meet with absolutely no resistance in their lifetime outside of getting their run on General Hospital extended past 18 episodes. Shayne Lamas is in this category. And it certainly does not help that she is the daughter of someone else who is also in this category. But now she is doing her best to find true love, ABC-style. Although it doesn't help there that she was the only bachelorette this season to issue a press release about her appearance on the show. Really, though, she doesn't NEED any help. Even in the ideal numbers situation of 24 single attractive women (and a token crazy) doing their best to impress you, it is still your job to impress a girl like Shayne. ABC has done all the heavy lifting for current The Bachelor Matt Grant by paying Shayne's per diem, but Grant still has to maintain a modicum of interest from Shayne, same as Brad had to for Bettina and Travis had to for Sarah. Then, after the overnight dates with the final three bachelorettes (Amanda R., Erin H. and Shayne), Grant can cut her, because impressing beautiful people after you have slept with them is exhausting and not that lucrative. When you really think about it, the point is that the most beautiful person in the room will consistently finish third, both on The Bachelor and in life. Merv at the Movies: Everything I need to know about Lorenzo Lamas' daughter I learned from watching The Bachelor.

| Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers the description for next week's show is up http://abcmedianet.com/DNR/2008/pdf/dnr031808.pdf AND TASTE THE HIGH LIFE WITH A SIZZLING GROUP DATE IN LAS VEGAS, ON ABC’S “THE BACHELOR: LONDON CALLING,” MONDAY, MARCH 24 “Episode 1202” – As the 15 remaining bachelorettes settle into their luxurious villa in Malibu, the fairy tale begins. Matt starts by escorting eight gorgeous women to a sexy fashion show, and when they discover that they are the models, the ladies proceed to try and out-strut each other on the runway. The handsome Brit whisks the other seven women off to Las Vegas for a glamorous evening of gambling and partying like rock stars. Then emotions run high at an explosive cocktail party where the women bear their claws to fight for Matt’s roses, on “The Bachelor: London Calling,” MONDAY, MARCH 24 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. On the first group date, Matt takes eight bachelorettes to a fashion show, only to reveal that the only models on the catwalk will be them. The private fashion show for the Bachelor turns into a temptress battle as the women attempt to impress Matt with their sexy moves on the runway. Later, at a swank Hollywood hotel, Matt escorts the women to a chic after-party where Marshana confronts Matt about his feelings on interracial dating. Michelle P. professes her love for Matt by singing him a song she wrote specially for him. Matt wastes no time by giving out his first kiss of the season to one lucky bachelorette and then immediately handing her a rose, exclaiming that she was “the hottest thing on the runway.” Back at the house, the jealousy over the rose is fierce, with one of the women embarrassing the rose recipient for her juvenile gloating behavior in front of all the other girls. Matt treats a second group of seven women to a glittering evening at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. With a rose at stake, he ups the ante and challenges the women to collect the most chips in one hour of gambling to win some special quality time with him. Robin breaks the rules and pulls Matt aside for her own one-on-one time with him, while Shayne decides to bet it all on roulette and loses. At the end of the contest, the winning bachelorette is treated to an exclusive champagne and dessert oneon- one with the Bachelor. Shayne, upset at losing her chance to spend time with Matt, has an emotional confrontation with the Bachelor that doesn’t go well. Later that evening at the after party, the bachelorettes show off their talents in an effort to snatch the date rose. Robin plays classical piano for Matt while Chelsea lays her heart on the line. When Matt finally gives out his rose for that night, the rest of the women stare with daggers in their eyes at the one he chooses to keep safe. Shayne, afraid that she’s ruined her chances forever, ends up in the ladies room crying. An emotional and intense cocktail party begins as Matt needs to make another difficult decision. However, the women are not through yet competing for his roses: Carri sings opera, Marshana steals a slow dance and Shayne tries to save herself. Later, Matt must eliminate three ladies at the rose ceremony, leaving 12 bachelorettes to stay in the race for his heart. The 15 women are: Amanda R., 27, an account executive from Niceville, FL. Amy, 22, a nanny from Stockton, CA. Ashlee, 22, a singer/songwriter from Jacksonville Beach, FL. Carri, 25, a church marketing representative from Oklahoma City, OK. Chelsea, 24, a pharmaceutical sales representative from Durango, CO. Erin H., 25, an event planner from Seattle, WA. Erin S., 33, a hot dog vendor from Venice, CA. Holly, 25, a children’s book author from Suffield, OH. Kelly, 24, a medical sales representative from San Diego, CA. Kristine, 32, a personal trainer from Charlotte, NC. Marshana, 27, a fashion designer from Brooklyn, NY. Michele, 33, an interior designer from Laguna Niguel, CA. Noelle, 26, a photographer from Loveland, CO. Robin, 22, an advertising coordinator from Holland, MI. Shayne, 22, an actress from Malibu, CA. Hosted by Chris Harrison, “The Bachelor: London Calling” is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss, David Bohnert and Martin Hilton are the executive producers. “The Bachelor: London Calling” is broadcast with Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. A parental guideline will be assigned to this program at a later date. This episode of “The Bachelor: London Calling” will be available on ABC.com the day after airing on the network for users to watch online. |

It sounds like Ashlee will get the first kiss and the rose from the fashion date. Shayne's drama story line this early I don't think bodes well for her long term, but time will tell. | |

| Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers catn3d, I think you are right!Cape, thanks for the press release! I AGREE, it looks like Shayne is getting alot of camera time early in the show which may not be good for her. Ashlee recieves the first kiss and a safe rose. Chelsea will get the rose on the Las Vegas date and some alone time...didn't we have a screencap of Chelsea and Matt about to kiss in Las Vegas...I believe we did. |
