Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers The Bachelor Episode Description ~ March 31, 2008 Matt has 12 bachelorettes from which to choose, and he selects two of them for one-on-one dates: a movie premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood; and a trip to an Ojai, Cal., winery in his Maserati. But the stakes are high for the women: It's get a rose or go home. Matt also plays rugby (his favorite sport) with 10 bachelorettes, and all gather for a cocktail party, after which three are eliminated. The Bachelor ABC Episode Description - TVGuide.Com

Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers I posted this in another thread - but I am pretty sure the horseback is at the winery... Old Creek Ranch Winery - Ojai, California you can see they have the wagon wheels and the mountains in the background - I think this was brilliant on abc's part...Ojai is where the winery is on brothers and sisters!!!

Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers Loveland woman looks for love on ‘Bachelor’ Noelle Drake didn’t move to Los Angeles to find love. Instead, the Loveland High School graduate was pursuing a career in acting. But starting Monday, the whole country will watch when one of the Sweetheart City’s own competes against 24 other women to win the heart of one lucky man on the season premiere of ABC’s “The Bachelor.” “She would love to find love,” said Noelle’s mother, Loveland’s Teresa Drake. “We’re excited for her.” While the reality show — now in its 12th season — has already been filmed, Noelle and her family cannot discuss any information about her experience. But what is known is that viewers can watch as the 26-year-old and the other contestants vie for the heart of London’s Matt Grant, a 27-year-old business development manager who is searching for the love of his life, stated ABC.com. Each week, the bachelor will get to know the ladies through romantic and adventurous dates. At the end of each show, he will narrow them down during a “rose ceremony,” asking his favorites to accept a rose. Those without the invitation are eliminated, until in the final episode he chooses just one as his one and only. Noelle cannot do any interviews until after she has been eliminated. Teresa said Noelle auditioned for the show on a whim while work was slow during the writers’ strike. She wasn’t expecting a callback, Teresa said. But once she was accepted, Noelle was swept into filming within a week. “I think most people go into it thinking ‘Am I really going to find love?’” Teresa said. “But she was open to it.” And single Noelle was looking for something new, Teresa said. “The LA dating scene is kind of strange,” she explained. “All of the dates are so unromantic. ... She just thought ‘Yeah, I’m ready for a little romance.’” Teresa and her husband, Larry Drake, are excited to see their daughter on TV, even though it won’t be the first time they’ve watched her on the screen. Noelle also has had roles on Fox’s “House” and in the movie “Red Eye.” However, this is unlike anything Noelle’s done before, and her parents admit they’re a little apprehensive. “There’s some girls that get pretty wild,” said Teresa, who got her first peek at the show during a commercial preview. “But I know it’s not Noelle because I know Noelle.” Larry said he’s “enthused” to watch the show, although he’s never seen it before. And while some dads might have a hard time watching their daughters date, Larry said it won’t be that bad. “She’s a big girl. I trust her,” he said. “I think it’s an exciting adventure for her.” “The Bachelor: London Calling” premieres with a 90-minute special at 8:30 p.m. Monday on ABC. Link

Re: Bachelor 12 Media Thread ~ Spoilers New British Bachelor in "Love" Once upon a time, there was a show called "The Bachelor." After 12 seasons, it is still waiting for its happy ending. The franchise's newest prince, 27-year-old global financier Matt Grant, hopes to change all that with "The Bachelor: London Calling," debuting Monday night. "I'm in love," Grant said in his British accent. "That's all you need to know." Viewers have heard that one before. But before you balk, perhaps this strapping Londoner deserves a chance. After all, he is the first International "Bachelor"! At the very least, he's not just another American guy. "I'm not bothered about previous shows," Grant said. "I'm bothered about myself and 'the one.' I think we have what it takes. I really do." "The One" is how Grant now refers to the woman he fell for on "The Bachelor." He's unable, of course, to speak her real name, urging us — daring us — to watch the drama unfold onscreen. And unfold it does. "I had a thong pushed down my pants," Grant said. "At first I thought it was like a message on a napkin or something … that was pretty gross." (The thong incident comes courtesy of a bachelorette named Stacey, who proudly declares that she is "all that and a bag of chips." ) Of course, anyone who watches reality TV knows that Grant's got it easy. On VH1's "Rock of Love 2," Poison rocker Bret Michaels is subjected to half-naked women gyrating to get his attention as he searches for his supposed soul mate (for the second time). Rapper Flavor Flav's three seasons of reality TV romance on "Flavor of Love," also on VH1, have been replete with hair-extension pulling and high-pitched shrieking. But "The Bachelor" started the trend of reality matchmaking shows, and Grant's trying to keep things classy. With his fondness for American women somehow still intact, Grant describes his "chosen one" as "an exceptional individual" with depth, substance, warmth and sincerity. Grant will be missing those attributes while he is kept apart from his new girlfriend. He's contractually bound to remain mum about the outcome of the show until the finale of "The Bachelor: London Calling." There is presumably an ocean between them, but that doesn't seem to phase Grant. Like a few "bachelors" before him, he says he is in love. "That's happiness for me," Grant said. "I hope it'll be happiness for the viewers." Link
