Well Fleiss sure isn't showing much this year, could that have anything to do with the ratings? I agree basketball was a biggy, but Fleissypoo is a stingy old man this year.... no commercials. everything was given at the beginning, tons of stuff and then bam! NOTHING

IMO they are getting the ratings they deserve. I do not like this season at all. I feel that I am not getting the TV show that I have loved and known so well and have tuned in to get for several years. This show feels more contrived than in years past and there is not enough screen time to get to know all of the participants and to observe their interactions. I am one of the folks that feels that this season was done with a predetermined outcome due to a knee-jerk over-reaction on Fleiss's part for last years dismal ending.

Yeah, but Samantha Who had over 4 and a half million MORE viewers than The Bachelor and that started at 9:30 and the Championship game was already on. I also read on another website that Medium, which airs the same time as The Bachelor, had some of the highest ratings that that series has ever gotten. For some reason the basketball championships has seemed to have just affected The Bachelor. It will be interesting to see what the ratings are next week...

I agree w/the bolded statement. I am sorry to Shayne fans, this is not meant as a slam to her, but she is the ONLY one that we have gotten a chance to know. Even if she is F1, I still would at least like to get to know some of the others girls better. I mean the fact that we only got like 3 and half minutes of Amanda's date last night was pathetic!! They spent more time than that on Shayne and the whole spray tanning escapade....

Going into the 5th show last season I felt like I knew ALL of the F4 really well. This season .... not so much.

Of the girls left, I feel I know Shayne, Robin, Chelsea and Marshana. Amanda and Noelle are really the only ones we haven't seen much of.

Well on Andy's season I didn't know Danielle all that much but I liked her she was my fav, but knew Andy wanted Tessa.....On Aaron's season I didn't know that girl with the room mate and the dog lol, so there are alot of season that you don't know, the four who makes it in the F4.....This season I know just about all of them except Noelle like I said before maybe she is the hidden one, since most feel the winner will be hidden

I remember reading, geez, probably 1-2 years ago, that they have no way of counting TIVO/PVR into the ratings but that they were working towards being able to count those. I don't know if they're able to now but I always PVR the show.

Well said. I certainly feel that I have gotten to know Kelly and Shayne. Matt is a funny guy - so I dont think he is the problem. I think lots of folks are just bored with the catfight "drama" and the Shayne Show.
I really dont think the editing was so heavy handed in the past. I felt like I was getting to know a group of women along side the Bachelor. I dont feel that he is getting to know anybody except for Shayne. And I blame the editing. Andrew Firestone's season didnt feel like this. Nor did Charlie's. Yup - they are indeed getting the ratings they deserve.
