I don't know how many times I posted those fireplaces at Trail Creek Cabin's restaurant, so I will anxiously awaiting to see if that ends up the famous fireplace sc with Noelle.

I think the girl who opens up on the home town date is Shayne. I think the girl who plays a prank is Amanda or Chelsea and the girl he sees another side to is Noelle.

I think the girl who is overconfident is Amanda. I agree that Shayne is the girl with the relationships in the house, but she doesn't go home. I think Noelle is the girl with the shock of a life time in getting the HT date, since she said she was a "matter of time" girl.

I don't see Shayne's edit as being over-confident with Matt ... if anything, when she is with him, she is somewhat insecure with the process, and let's him know such.

But, I don't see Amanda as over-confident either. This one baffles me. Does Matt see Robyn as over-confident? If she is confident, it's because of the things he has told her. Chelsea? Perhaps, but he keeps boosting her ego as well.

So who the heck knows.

The reason that I see it as Robin being overconfident is within the write-up for the show next week. She interupts Matt and Shayne's 1:1 in the snow (can't wait to see that) and he makes her feel all better. He's bolstering her again and giving her hope. She has enough of an ego as to see any encouragement from him as an affirmation of their connection. Remember during Amanda's meep section when Robin was talking on and on...she kept saying that he tells her to hang in there...1.5 weeks later and she's over confident.

That's a huge fall in ratings. This episode was one of the lowest rated in series history. Although the season typically gains one to two million viewers as the season comes to its climax, even that would be a weak performance for this Bachelor.

It's not looking good. This isn't just writer's strike hangover, it's real tuning out of The Bachelor. It's hard to believe that the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Game could have drawn off that many Bachelor viewers. And it's not due to Samantha Who? because that show got over four and a half million more viewers than The Bachelor. As for it being residual effect of last season, I don't think so, as the ratings for this season started much higher. I think it's Matt. He's just not connecting with a part of the audience.

We'll have to hope that DeAnna can bring some viewers back, but that will be a summer run. We have nothing to compare that to directly, but Bachelorettes are typically lower rated than Bachelors. And I would expect even lower ratings for a summer season.

Can the franchise withstand this?

I am speechless!!! Those are some low ratings!! Does this mean the end of the series?

It was up against some pretty heavy duty things last nite too - like Baskerball!!!

I think the lower ratings has something to do with NCAA Championship, the game came at 8:30 Central Time.
