I thought the ladies who weren't cut yet were not supposed to talk about the show with anyone? I don't think she gave away anything. Shayne could be saying he won't be disappointed with the outcome because it's between two wonderful ladies, Chelsea and Amanda. OR she could be saying that he won't be disapointed because she is the final 1. It can go either way IMO.

Or could be passing off Fan Talk pablum (not inside dope), that translated, means nothing more than "thanks for watching, keep it up, tell all your friends, it's great TV."

I think you are "SPOT ON" with regard to the cars. There may have been a local call out to car collectors for this part of the date. Collector and antique car owners often are very protective of their cars (DH for example)..... and if you look, all are not OLD cars, but all are collector cars so to speak. I would expect to see the owners close by "their babies".

Since we have a hot rod, that is true usually they are older guys. Since they either have the money to buy them or have the time to fix them up. (The latter is us) They producers probably got a hold of a car club and asked for so many cars to be there. The guys do normally not go far from their cars because they don't want them damaged. Also hotrod guys do hang out at these type of restaurants/drive in's. It is the nostalgia, and you can't forget the great music.

I found it interesting his take on extras. Extras, are sort of there to be seen and not heard so to speak. Could be a reason why he gives that explanation but if he has worked for any length of time he should know that.

Extras are a very important part of the film, but they are told they are not to speak to the actors unless of course one of them says something to you. They are not to speak or bother the crew either. Hence his explanation, of dead eyes. But my experience is that extras have a ball amongst themselves.

ITA - it makes me think he has not been in the business long. I know a number of people who have worked as extras and they are given strict instructions not to make eye contact with "the talent" or they will dismissed immediately.. not sure about the crew..but you can understand why they would be paranoid about looking at anybody in the eye.

Firdt time I heard that, I thought it was so weird but I have heard and read this many times now.

We are hot rodders too! The guys (and some of us gals) hang out near the cars, whether they are ours or not. The guys love to "show off" their babies (must be a guy thing). I haven't checked but I am sure they have a weekly or monthly gathering at this place.

Another possibility is that she understands that if Matt does not make a love connection, she will be F1. She likes them both (Matt and F1) and is happy that he did make one. I happen to think that Shayne has a very big heart and would look at it that way. Compared to Paris Hilton, she is Saint Shayne as far as I am concerned.

Nothing significant,but just a weird pic..

Maybe they are pulling OUT of the area - and the guys standing around are the owners of the cars.

He is a writer. This is his regular blog. But he fibbed and told Shayne he was one of the producers.

If Shayne was nonchalant when discussing the show and turns out to be F1 ... maybe she really IS a good actress!
