I actually think Brad is an extremely "what you see is what you get" kind of man. He is pretty bad actually at supressing bodily reactions but extremely good at verbal control. He clearly chooses his words wisely but his body ticks and quivers and dilates and flushes pretty regularly. Seriously from the 1st night you could tell things about him. His lip quivers, he blows out and does this neck thing when he's really attracted to someone. Watch how he fidgets or plays with his hands (particularly his pinkies and ring fingers) at the rose ceremonies out of nervousness, he rubs his hands together out of excitement, he says wow when he is not quite sure what to say. He's just kind of obvious to me at least. | |

I feel sure that has to be part of it. I love the discussion on this thread. So many insights! I sometimes find Brad hard to read, because there are so many possible interpretations to what we see. Is he biting his lip because he's holding back, "I love you, too"?or because he does care about the lady and doesn't want to mislead her? or because he suddenly got an image of the possible effects of those refried beans?! I can just see him laughing, just because of his own crazy sense of humor that has nothing really to do with the situation. The good news for them, of course, is that they could just redo that scene and leave that part on the cutting room floor. But I digress! My point is that there are so many interpretations for the same thing. Sometimes I'm so sure I understand the edit, then someone else explains with a different interpretation that makes just as much sense! Too much overthinking! I end up confusing myself! I think I’ll just content myself with enjoying the story, however it unfolds. BTW, Lynn7, your dad sounds like such a sweetheart! And I can tell you are a warm, loving mother! Your kids are lucky to have you for their mom!

| Re: Body Language & Non Verbal Communication - *Spoilers* My front-runner preference has seen more flip-flops than a day at the beach. I started with DeAnna, then flipped to Bettina, then flopped back to DeAnna, then to Jenni, etc... I think deep down I still see something more with DeAnna. And here's why: Touching one's face is a most intimate gesture. I thought something was lacking in the steamy department with Bettina, because in the hot tub scene, I don't remember Brad touching her face. If it were an episode of Seinfeld, Brad would be called The Face-toucher. He's touched several faces to wipe tears away. Including Jenni's in the new clip. Jenni puts her hands on Brad's face all the time when they are kissing. The FD pictures of Brad's hands on DeAnna's face are really moving. The way he touches her face when they kiss seems different. |

| Re: Body Language & Non Verbal Communication - *Spoilers* Re: touching faces, it depends on the person. I'm a face-toucher and my husband is not. I've had boyfriends that touch my face but I didn't touch theirs. Yet I felt strongly for them... it was simply a matter of "how we fit". Best way I can explain it. ![]() |

| Re: Body Language & Non Verbal Communication - *Spoilers* You know, LemonDrop, I agree with you. I recently had a date with a really great guy. When he put his arm around me, I wasn't feeling it. When I tried to hold hands, it didn't feel "right". I just didn't want a second date, because I just couldn't get comfortable with him. I agree totally with your take on this. |
