| Re: Body Language & Non Verbal Communication - *Spoilers* I believe that Hillary and Jade showed their true colors at WTA and embarrassed themselves. They cannot blame the pressures of living in the house, either. If people want to think Deanna is mean, they will. If people want to think Jenni is silly, they will. In the end, they are just people being scrutinized by others who will never know them. |

| Re: Body Language & Non Verbal Communication - *Spoilers* I don't know if Deanna is actually mean or if Jenni is actually silly, but I would take silly over mean. I hope Deanna is not the way she was portrayed, but her edit is why she stopped being my favorite. Besides being abrasive, Deanna does seem to glower at times, which I didn't care for. I had my husband watch portions of the FD and the previews, and based on the body language/non verbal communication he picked Jenni as F1 without question, this makes me think that Deanna/Fleiss won. Doesn't Fleiss want the average viewer to believe the wrong girl is the winner? |

| Re: Body Language & Non Verbal Communication - *Spoilers* I guess my point is that we do not know these women, just what a slickly editorial production team is trying to show us to entertain and show dramatic tension. I would certainly not want to be judged by these well chosen snippets and I won't do it to others. Reality TV is not really "real". Back to body language, it would appear that they are trying to imply Jenni as winner which bodes well for Deanna. |

Personally, I don't have a favorite anymore. I wouldn't chose a person like Deanna to be my friend, as I don't care for that in your face "honest" snub -- I think people like that are often insensitive and unkind. IMO, there is no reason to treat another human being that way. Taking the high road, as Fleiss portrayed Jenni and Sheeni as doing, is classier.

Someone else may interpret they're trying to imply Deanna is the winner. For example, a man reaching over to tuck hair behind a woman's hair- some women would feel he intruded her personal space. Others would feel he was messing her hairdo. And still others would "interpret" that as a romantic gesture while the woman it happened to never even noticed! FYI: I'm not talking about Deanna or Jenni here. I'm saying there's a LOT to consider when factoring in body language. But it's fun! ![]()

| Re: Body Language & Non Verbal Communication - *Spoilers* Thanks for your comments, Lemon Drop. You are obviously correct about that. That was an answer to a direct question and is a general response to a previous post. I appreciate your comments and agree. |

I"m sure people who know Brad would understand, but the ladies really don't know him that well. In a sense they, and we, all come from different cultures and it's easy to misunderstand. I'm thinking of greeting a Chinese person, for example. In my ignorance, I might think I'm showing respect by making a bow, but because I don't fold my hands the right way, or it's too deep, it comes off as disrespect. Hopefully my friendliness would shine through and my clumsiness would be forgiven. (Or you could have a computer that plays tricks on you! When I just went to put the smiley in to say that I am a nerd, it popped up to the beginning of the quote. Thank goodness I caught it or I would have insulted Lemondrop instead of making fun of myself.)Actually the smileys are another good example. The first time I saw the big love, I thought it meant "embarrassed." Does that tell you how red I get? I thought the "love struck" meant biglove, and the "tongue" was a frog. It's helped once I figured out how to put the cursor on them to get the translation.I hope some of this makes sense. I need lessons from that tiny professor they were talking about in another thread, so I can learn to write without being misunderstood. I guess my point was that body language, symbols, and even words can be interpreted so many different ways it's no wonder we all have so many different interpretations of the same thing. So I'll just shut up now. lol
