How do you interpret that?
There are a couple of things. When he says, "very strong feelings for DeAnna, very strong," he raises his eyebrows and nods his head while moving forward. The way he nods his head, in a 'yes' manner, as opposed to a 'no,' where you move your head from left to right, is convincing the listener that he means what he is saying.

When he says, "she's everything I've ever looked for in a woman," he is moving his right hand horizontally, back and forth, as though showing us a big invisible list of his wants and desires, and he feels that she has all of those things. It's like he is saying, "look, see my list, she is everywhere on it." It's sometimes hard to put these gestures into words...sorry.

When he says, "I can see a lifetime with DeAnna," he is doing the vertical hand motioning again but this time he does it in a manner that suggests a path of life...if that makes sense. It's as though he is saying, 'here is my lifetime, a path, and it ends at some point, and I can see DeAnna right there along with me. Arggh...so hard to put into words so I hope you understand. I understand what he is saying but I don't know how to write it out.

I would suggest watching those scenes again, with what I've said here, and see if you see what I do, or what I'm trying to say.

Incidentally, watching that dinner again, this guy is giddy and gushing with happiness and affection and love.

Oh, I wasn't referring to anything recent when I said cold. I'm looking at the overall season so some of the things I pointed out are from earlier on. She is a multi-faceted and complex woman to be sure. She is probably one of the most honest, in terms of seeing the *real* her, bachelorettes we've ever been allowed to see.

I do know that my husband is Mr. Even Keel emotionally, and I'm direct, outspoken, sometimes B*tchy, emotional, sarcastic, competitive, etc. and I've been married to one man for 20 years, and he loves me this way. Men don't always want passive, constantly sweet women who don't challenge them. Some men like feistiness - like my husband.

Of course, like DeAnna, I can be sweet, loving, kind, open-hearted, warm, etc. She's just being contrasted with Jenni who has been shown to be (whether she's actually like this or not) happy all. the. time. Whereas DeAnna, and Bettina, for that matter, have been shown to be more layered: sometimes sweet, sometimes fiesty. I like that in a woman myself.
Loved your post. I actually can see that Brad may just have a trigger temper. I can relate to that. I know that I am very much like you but, for the most part, I'm Ms. Even Keel, too. I feel things, very deeply, and if something makes me angry, woah, watch out, but once I vent I'm fine.

For people with that expressive personality they need to be around someone who understands, and appreciates, that complexity.

Thanks so much for your interpretations Lynn7. It's appreciated! I understand exactly what you are saying, you are communicating the hand gestures completely. Thanks!

Thank you Lynn.

I thought it was her voice.

In your post when you said this about Brad: Incidentally, watching that dinner again, this guy is giddy and gushing with happiness and affection and love.

Do you see a difference between his demenor with Jenni and with DeAnna over dinner? Do you think he has the same deep emotions for both?

Just wanted to tell you I love reading your impressions.

Last season, did you see the love between Andy & Tessa??

ETA: Did you notice Brad's reaction to Bettina during the WTA Preview??? It's VERY telling imo.

I didn't see that and it doesn't start here for about another 4 minutes. But I'll watch for that.

I really hope Brad chooses DeAnna, and they live happily ever after. However, no matter who Brad chooses, I wish him the best.
Is it me or does anyone else think she closely resembles the actress in "The DaVinci Code?" I watched that over the weekend and I kept seeing DeAnna...I've been watching too closely I think...LOL

BL experts, what do you think? (Sorry if this has already been discussed. My brain seems to only hold a thought for a minute, before it slips away into the fog.)
Well, we didn't really get to see the Jenni/Brad interaction because she had figured it out and he was playing along with her. It's hard to read that little gesture. He responded with a cautious pushing the card forward with Bettina and with DeAnna he was putting it in her hands.
