In any case, this is a great Bach Clache area !

Thanks Jewelsy for providing it ... and special thanks to Lynn and the other experts for their insight and take on things as well as simplifying some complex things enough for the more average observers to understand !

Thanks again !
It is amazing to me how two people can see the same thing and come up with different ideas as to what happened. For instance the FD with DeAnna and Brad. If you watch that tape, you will see Brad touch her shoulder and then take her hand and kiss it. Then he puts his hand on his face and her hand is just left there on top of his. She finally removes it. Then on the kiss...she leans way into him for it. I don't see it any other way.

You need to watch his left hand/arm and Deanna's right arm - he never let go.

Re: Body Language & Non Verbal Communication - *Spoilers*

One other little body language thing (because Lord knows I haven't analyzed this to death enough), it is true that Brad does not lean in while talking with Jenni. They actually are both sitting back a lot of the time. He keeps his hands crossed in his lap even when he is having the playful "Find the Fantasy Card" interaction with her. Also his face seems tense. His eye contact with her is limited particularly in the conversation after the dolphin swimming, which is unusual for him because he's really good about looking people in the eye. Most of the season with Jenni he has seemed relaxed and smiles a lot until last week at the hometown date. The first time I noticed discomfort or poker face was when they were having the discussion at the theater.

He maintains eye contact for almost the entire dinner with Deanna. He also maintains physical contact with her for much of the time as well.

Her 'take charge' attitude seems to disappear as she becomes more 'traditional' by allowing Brad to take the lead physically in their more intimate interactions. ("I am not going to kiss you . . . I wanted to kiss him but he was not going to kiss me with other girls watching, etc. . . .). He is the one who reaches for her hands, strokes her hair, pulls her in for the kisses, and she lets him decide the depth and intensity of their more intimate contact. At the beginning of their FD kiss, she pulls back slightly and he quickly pulls her back to him. She willingly submits, and allows him to kiss her as long as he wants to. Very telling . She has a very private side, one not for 'public' viewing (if you don't count all of us . . . ) that she is allowing him to explore. Just as with Tessa and Andy, I feel like I am peeking in their window . . . . . . and I just can't help myself ) Brad has seen the contrasting sides of her, and it obviously attracted by the complete package.
Great post Dogma! Perhaps this is why Deanna is so attractive to him: That such a strong-willed, speaks-her-mind, sassy, somewhat dominant woman yields for him, I imagine that does loads for a man's ego.

I think it blew his mind how she showed him up in the dune buggy, then she laterer ribbed him by saying "If I drove like that I'd be lonely too". His PI when he was talking about the race was so cute, his face was beaming with joy.

I do think that DeDe is a strong woman, but even strong women need that soft place to fall.

To all of our body language experts here: What do you think about Brad's body language in his PI('s) about DeAnna during the fantasy date? I noticed that in the one where he wears the striped shirt (the one that actually occured before or after their last chance date) he makes quite a lot of gestures, for example when he says "I can see a lifetime with DeAnna", he moves his right hand to the side as if to emphasize his statement, but I think there's more than just that one... How do you interpret that?

Smug, abrasive, brash, bully-ish, cold, shut off, domineering, overbearing, controlling, and occasionally sweet, caring and tender, yes...LOL How is that for so many adjectives, but, hey, I've had weeks to watch her.

I still think he's going to end up picking her, because he brings something out of her that is so tender and, almost, endearing, almost...LOL...that must just be his kind of gal. Complicated and pushy.
She could be taking this so serious ( and she should, if she has fallen in love) and the looks you say are cold, shut off and abrasive, could very well be just nervouse and not wanting her heart to get broken. Or she could be more concerned for Brad and the position he is in ., she knows this is tough on him and if she sees him tense and nervouse , she is nervous for him and along with him. very possible.

So you do see the smugness ( and all the rest ) in the body language too.

He said you shouldn't have to work that hard with regard to Bettina, but I think DeAnna is going to be a lot of work.

I'm off to bed ... my body language is collapsing ! g'night !
I disagree. I think the eyes tell alot. IF he has it for Deanna in his heart and his eyes. He already knows how she feels, so I don't think there is that much work needed.

But he hasn't ever had Deanna on his bad side - how will they interract together when things are not pleasing her ?

Re: Body Language & Non Verbal Communication - *Spoilers*

Every couple has times when they're not getting along with each other. Everyone has a "bad" side, and a "good" side. It may be that Brad has a raging temper, but we've just never seen it in this context. Who knows?

I do know that my husband is Mr. Even Keel emotionally, and I'm direct, outspoken, sometimes B*tchy, emotional, sarcastic, competitive, etc. and I've been married to one man for 20 years, and he loves me this way. Men don't always want passive, constantly sweet women who don't challenge them. Some men like feistiness - like my husband.

Of course, like DeAnna, I can be sweet, loving, kind, open-hearted, warm, etc. She's just being contrasted with Jenni who has been shown to be (whether she's actually like this or not) happy all. the. time. Whereas DeAnna, and Bettina, for that matter, have been shown to be more layered: sometimes sweet, sometimes fiesty. I like that in a woman myself.
