She doesn't realize that they aren't doing it for him, as the Bachelor failure rate makes clear. They are doing it to "win" the competition and to get attention and pseudo-fame. If it weren't on television, none of the contestants would have signed up.

Your friend needs to compare the show with its rivals Survivor and Big Brother, as ABC intended, and not with a professional matchmaking service.

I agree that Deanna is just playing a game. Since Brad has "watched" all the previous bachelor shows, you would think he would pick up on the little phrases she is using.

My guess is all the people on that show (including Brad) are very carefully spoon-fed their comments by Fleiss. If a woman says "Gee Brad, you're hot!" Fleiss says: "Try saying the same thing like this: Brad, I would like to give you the chance to see what I'm all about and who I really am."

Fleiss has ripped these girls to shreds, including my fave DeAnna. The only two women who haven't had any negative edit we know are not in F3: Kristy and Sheena.

I'm soooo depressed. Boooo Fleiss. I want a love story, not cat fights! I still think DeAnna is F1 and I'm hoping the house (and Jade and Hilary) brought out her worst qualities and that she is very cool on the outside.

If I wouldn't have found the Fort and a couple of other sites I like to frequent, I would probably feel the same way. Except for the degrading women part. They know what this show is about before they go on it and if they choose to do some of the things they do, knowing what Fleiss may do to them, well then..................
