Perhaps they were as "meh" about this season as some of us are and couldnt be bothered? If it were a sporting event, someone would have noticed and posted. The thing that bothers me the most about the whole DeAnna switch to a bad edit, is that it again brings home the message of how easily we can be manipulated as an audience. It just drives me crazy. We can only base our opinions on what we are shown and "They" have the power about what they show us. That's why it's so important to always keep your guard up and question everything.
There is a good chance TPTB think DeAnna is becoming too obvious a choice, so they have to start make us doubt her. Who knows - equally bad things could have been said about any of the others but not shown.
IMO at least DeAnna seems the same with Brad and the girls. The 2 who acted totally different with Brad were Hillary and Steffi. Hard to believe they were the same person.
You know, as I was online last night, I noticed there were only 191 people on the FORT for the Bachelor pre and post analysis. That's quite low compared to last season. I think many of us are worn out, Bach 10 took a lot out of us.
According to Zinnia though, ratings are up for this Bachelor. So, the general viewing public was encouraged by the Andy and Tessa show and decided to try it again. Seasoned Bachelor watchers and posters seem ambivialant this season.
We haven't heard anything about the most romantic series yet etc etc. We are all finding inconsistencies with these girls. Do you think maybe he didn't end up with anyone and that is why you have him sitting there on the stone platform ? He says the "question was asked." Did he say he asked the question ? He came on the show to find his wife. Did he ? Yipes - I don't want that kind of an ending but I suppose it's easier on all - than pretending. Something different - that's for sure !
We can't forget that Sarah S called Moana a Bitch and she was F1 - and that was worst b/c she said it about F2 - at least the girl that DeDe hates - the rest of the world does too...
Here are my concerns with Bettina -
1. she is shown as SO insecure - yet she does not appear that way with the girls
2. She is with Hillary and Jade a lot - I dont know if she was laughing at the DeAnna stuff - but he sure made it look like that - so the edit is there... and if she is just hanging with the girls so she doesn't get talked about then that says something about her - she is not strong enough to stand up for herself -
3. When she was on the jetski - she commented that she was glad the girls were watching and jealous...
4. She was only married a year - and said it just wasn't right - I am sure there is more to this that she didn't want to get into - but I think this is a red flag to Brad - he is very interested in finding out the girl's level of commitment and I think getting divorced after a year shows that maybe she didn't try hard enough...now we don't know what led to the divorce
5. Brad has not given her a special rose yet - WHY? If he really is THAT into her - why wouldn't he have given her a date rose...if his conversation was that great with Bettina on the beach - why did he give the rose to Sarah - or on the boat - I think the divorce threw him and not giving a rose was very telling...
She did not say anything about being jealous she said the other girls were watching and she just felt so lucky to be there with him. Nothing about being jealous I just play that part
She is jealous when Hillary got the date yes but not about the girls on the boat. Poor Bettina she nothing she does stands out to others.

From an editing and sleuther's viewpoint, I think what you are seeing is DeAnna being downsized from F1 to F2.
It doesn't matter how much everyone agrees with her honesty and the sentiments that she is espousing; Fleiss is trying to edit her as catty which is never a winning edit for the F1. She is getting too embroiled in the drama for the winning edit.
I think you are going to see DeAnna come across as edited with a hard edge as opposed to Bettina with this soft crumbly kind of edge( and there is your opposites in F1 and F2 as Fleiss likes to so often feature). Brad is going to be very protective of Bettina. In fact he has already said in an interview it is hard to watch his chosen one, and I think it is because Bettina is already being shown as falling for him and worrying so much about whether he will reciprocate because of her divorce - which is imo is really being used more to raise doubt than anything else ( we know he took her to at least F3) , and since he has said in an interview that the divorce wasn't a problem. She is being shown as fragile.
Bettina may be standing on the edge of where all of the action is going on. She may even look like she is smiling. Certainly she doesn't speak up and defend anybody else. But....the big point is that in this show she doesn't cook her own goose in the edit by verbally bad mouthing the other girls or being too refreshingly honest about the competition. In life and certainly in this show sometimes what goes on in your head certainly doesn't need to come out of your mouth, especially in front of the camera.
I figured if DeAnna was the F2 ( as the hands looked like), we would begin to see negative cracks in her edit most likely this episode. From looking at the pictures of his face on his date with her next week, she is going to get even more negative editing.
To tell you the truth, I am not sure that Brad could handle the straight, shoot from the hip DeAnna!! She just might be too much for his personality type.
Disclaimer: This assessment was made as objectively as possible based on the experience I have gained from gathering the clues and trying to put them together. I personally think I would like and respect DeAnna.
I'd bet money on it, that I'd like her. I know TV is quick and surface, but coudn't we develop character and overall drama in some way other than showing more catfights?
Good points Cape and I agree. Brad has had two opportunities to give Bettina a rose and he has not. That is telling.
I'm not counting DeAnna out yet. She is brutally honest, Jade is not a sympathetic character, and she may have done something terribly nasty to DeAnna. Brad was really, really intrigued with her, I can't see that going away this soon.
And, I cannot forget Brad's smiles in the interviews when the reporter and his brother mentioned DeAnna.
Jenni is a sweetie, Brad is very attracted to her. She's one to watch as well.
not good points Bettina did not say the girls were jealous, she said word for word the girls were looking and she was glad to the there with him. Him not giving her a rose is fine, Tessa did not get a rose early too no big deal
