I'm sure Brad has been forewarned, but please tell him it can get nasty with "fans" when the Bachelor does not choose their favorite gal.

You are seeing some of that tonight. It get's downright vicious. Brad's character will be smeared, he will be accused of going to far in leading Jenni or DeAnna on. It's not pretty.

Brad is great. Jenni is great. DeAnna is great. I wish them all well.

I think Brad has carried himself well enough that he may have escaped at least some of the smear-campaigns of previous bachelors. There is just so much we are not shown to know what kind of conversations these women have had with him on and off camera.

I'd speculate that he has the kind of integrity that he would have been particularly careful with his words on the final night he was with each girl so that he didn't set them up with unrealistic expectations.

Do you remember Trista when she was on the bachelor. The guy told her that night that she was going to be his selection at the final rose ceremony and then she got dumped after they got up close and personal!

Perhaps I'm being naive - but, he just doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would have set either of these girls up with mixed signals so as to cause them to endure anything greater than the disappointment of not being chosen.

I agree with this. I have a feeling that he has told the one or two before the frc how he felt. I do not expect to hear him say I love you jenni Oh and I love you dee(like some former bachelorho we know)

Your post is interesting, if you had watched the episole closer on the home town date..Bettina thought her family would love Brad, just as she thought she did. She was so happy to be bringing Brad to meet them. When her father was talking to her alone, Bettina stood up for Brad. With respect to the education..Bettina said that most of the people she knew that didn't have an education was successful and happy. She said even your on daughter does not have an education. With respect to her moving to be with a man..Bettina said, but, I choose him. She also said she saw the bars as a business.

The thing I find most difficult to understand is why so many people are taking shots at Bettina. She has no control over her family or their actions. She lives across the country from them. She's 27 yrs. old, a partner in her Real-Estate business and very successful in her own right. She is also very active in helping underprivilized children in S. CA. A portion of each of her commission checks is given to this group. She also volunteers her time. I would say, this is a woman that is very much her own person. With a lot of love and respect for others.

How many of the other girls in the house have gotten the negative feed-back, jokes and etc. said about them. It's easy to joke and critizide someone, but wait until you have walked that mile in their shoes.

Through all of this she has conducted herself like a lady. Do I want her to get together with Brad, NO!!!! Do I feel the twist at the end involves her, yes.

That having been said, the ones that felt babyface C,s post was funny..enjoy, but think about what you are really doing. Would you correct your children for enjoying a joke on an innocent person. Don't think so.

ITA, very well stated. Bettina is no longer in the picture yet she continues to be the brunt of negativity and jokes. I do not understand.

I will most definitely be disappointed if Brad doesnt pick my choice but I would never trash someone I dont even know...I may not understand his choice but its HIS life to live not mine

Thanks for sharing this ground with me. It really boils down to integrity - and I sense this man has it - the ousted girls seem to think so, those who have met him do also.

Quite possible - perhaps the hug good bye at the car was two people who had an 'understanding' that was edited out.....

Or, perhaps the producers wouldn't let her leave until she hugged Brad!

I understand you're frustrated. But, each of these women HAVE gotten negative feed back, jokes made about them, etc. Look around the board. Jenni gets judged for her career aspirations, for her laugh, etc.. Deanna gets judged for blinking, for being cold, smug, arrogant, a bully, etc. There's plenty of negative getting passed around for all of them.

Bettina is an adult. She, and all of them, opened themselves up to these comments by choosing to go on The Bachelor. That may not be right, but it happens EVERY season. Bettina is not getting 'targeted' all that badly, IMO, compared to some past seasons.

Bettina may be a fabulous, gracious and wonderful woman in the real world. Unfortunately, the viewers (at least IMO) didn't see that side of her very often on the show. Instead, we were shown someone whose actions did not match the emotions she professed to feel and who apparently lashed out at Brad/ABC given the opportunity at the WTA forum.

The 'humor' aimed at everyone, including Brad, Deanna, Jenni and even Bettina needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I'm sure they're learning about getting a thick skin as I'm typing.

However, regarding the comments about 'why is everyone still talking about Bettina?' Well, she was a focus of the most recent episode - The Women Tell All. Until the finale airs, we'll continue to kick that episode around to keep ourselves busy while we continue to debate the F1.
