Can anyone read the letters on that navy blue hat behind copter-cutie?

I have put on my strongest reading glasses and tried every enhanced view I can find, but nothing.

Earlier on, there's posts/discussions that it had the word "ROYAL" in it...and how that word supported the Hawaii idea then.

It's not dogtags, but a brooch with a symbol of two hearts intertwined. I thought I read somewhere that there is a picture of the brooch and the rose on the table and then just a picture with the rose. That would mean that F2 gets the brooch and F1 gets the rose. I'm off to do some sluething!!!

A lot of people in the military that I know have a couple of sets of dog tags in case one gets lost. They are quickly made, and not very expensive. These appear to be the right size in comparison with the rose bud to be dog tags, I've been around them my whole life (father is retired USAF, married to a sailor).

He only "needs" one set, and they don't really use or wear them unless the service member is on deployment. They aren't a military tradition per se, but I know a lot of service members do and have shared them with their significant others. I used to carry my husband's on my keys with me, but quit because the tag had his SSN on it. He would give her (a copy of) his dog tags, rather than having something different made up for her, in my experience it's more special that way.

2 weeks ago there was a ton of discussion regarding the brooch/Scottish Lockinbooth (sp) metal thingy. It might help to start there.
