Ok, I might be loosing it, but wasn't there another bachelor that when they brought the girls in for their initial "you are beautiful" talk they were turned the opposite way, then way he was going to either give them the "but" speach or the "I love you" speach he turned them to their real positions? I think that was with Travis. I may be wrong though.
I understand that the right positioning makes for the best ring shot, my question for the expert is what's the BEST shot for the SUNSET, it's all about the sunset, that's the show, imo. So, if he/she is saying that they'd get just a good a picture of the sunset off the corner of the deck I want to know how that could be. This in reference to the pictures and drawn lies in the upthread posting.Originally Posted by 2observe;2399177;
Cynicgal, YOU ROCK!!! I tried to find photos of Andy's finger scar but could not. It is obvious; he is proposing to someone on the left and the left finger has a scar. Tessa is F1. *Applause*

You are probably thinking of "For Love or Money" where they did that. I don't recall them ever doing that on "The Bachelor".Originally Posted by meatballsmom;2399184;

Yes, you are correct. But the reason for that was due to the location of the lone doorway to the room. There was no other option than to have the girls come in completely perpendicular to the final spot in front of the fireplace. That, plus the cameras had to line up against one perpendicular wall.Originally Posted by meatballsmom;2399184;
So Travis had to greet each girl straight on and then turn them to the side so the back camera could then get a sideways shot of the proposal/rejection in front of the fireplace and candles.
Never let the things you want make you forget about the things you have.
I'm so confused! Bright posted earlier in this thread with a great explanatory screencap, post # 764, that Andy greets the two women from the same original spot, then moves one to the left and one to the right. From the preview we can see him moving Tessa to the left. And it looks like Bevin is on the right. If she isn't yet, then Andy could still position her there. I would think that the cameras would be able to get the sunset regardless of which woman was on the left or right side. Oy, I think I just confused myself.Originally Posted by MissThing;2399132;

cynicgal Awesome job.
ETA If you look at the overhead shot of entrances to the deck/balcony and Tessa does take the scenic route, wouldn't she be coming from the westerly direction, which is where he is looking towards. I'm not sure of Bevin's route, but it would most likely be the one directly in front. He's waiting for Tessa.

He can definitely reposition them. But if Bevin stays on our right, so her left hand is closest to the camera, then there's nothing but water behind her, no sunset.Originally Posted by casualfan;2399214;
Again, look at posts 1188 and 1190, as there are actual camera angles in, to help us understand.
Furthermore, it appears that they would have to go with either left hand closest to the camera, or sunset, from the way they've positioned the table. They can't have both with the setup we have.
So, we can pick if we think that it's the girl on our right (which it always has been) or them seizing the opportunity to get the sunset in (these things are normally indoors or at night).
