"Episode 1008" In this gripping two-hour special conclusion, Andy returns home to Pennsylvania to share his experience of a lifetime with his family and ask them for guidance in making one of the most difficult decisions of his life -- choosing between the two remaining women. One bachelorette arrives for lunch with the Baldwin family, and when she leaves, the other woman joins the family for dinner. Who will the family think is best suited for Andy? Then, with time running out, the Bachelor returns to Hawaii for his final two dates. The first tryst comes complete with a romantic helicopter ride over the scenic coast and hiking and picnicking in the mountains. Andy takes the other woman horseback riding on the beach before they swim and canoodle in the ocean. After the women's professions of love in one last attempt to capture the Bachelor's heart, Andy delivers a devastating rejection to one tearful and heartbroken bachelorette. Then, in a deeply romantic scene which could jump off a movie screen, the officer and gentleman gives out his final rose and an engagement ring with a life-changing proposal to the woman who has captured his heart. Chris Harrison hosts.

It doesn't say she "freaks out", just that it is a devastating rejection. So where did people get that Bevin freaks out when she doesn't recieve the final rose?
I always get a chuckle out of the importance the promo's play in the families approval. If you are in love, you are, and nothing is going to stand in the way. Can any of you imagine asking your parents who you should choose and following their advice and ignoring your heart?! I did not like my husbands family, still don't, and never gave that one consideration. EVER!

Let's just say, for the sake of argument that Andy was madly in love with Amber. Would he cast her aside because her mother could not make it to meet him? They are all aware they are on a reality show that parents may think is dumb and decide not to be on camera or play the game.

I bet we will see that Ambers mom could not make it because of a logical reason anyway.

I believe the families are coached to grill the bachelor and even given questions to ask if they are camera shy.

The family visits are just all so silly. And I do not take the word silly lightly.

Totally agree, i<realtitytv.. I think at the point of the RC either girl would be tearful and heartbroken when they are rejected.... I just wouldn't assume that only Bevin could be that rejected one!

ANDY BALDWIN TAKES AN EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER RIDE, CROSSING
THE COUNTRY TO ESCORT THE FOUR REMAINING BACHELORETTES TO
THEIR HOMETOWNS, ON "THE BACHELOR: OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN"

"Episode 1006" - Andy faces a surprising but exciting journey across the country that will end in one woman's tears, when he escorts each of the remaining four bachelorettes to their hometowns, on "The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman," MONDAY, MAY 7 (9:31-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

The stakes couldn't be higher when Andy moves out of the yacht to travel across America, as Amber, Bevin, Danielle and Tessa take him to visit their families. In snowy Connecticut, Danielle's loving family tries to protect their fragile daughter. Because she suffered a heartbreaking tragedy when her college boyfriend passed away, Danielle's adoring family wants to be sure she's not headed for another catastrophic event. Then, at a romantic waterfall setting in Seattle, Bevin takes a real risk, catching Andy completely off guard by revealing a shocking secret from her past.

On his next date, the Bachelor visits Tessa in Washington, DC, with the challenging mission of attempting to win over her skeptical family, while also trying to capture this bachelorette's elusive heart. Finally, when Andy visits Amber in Texas, she panics about whether her family will agree to meet him. In a last ditch effort to save the day, Amber calls her aunt and makes a plea for her to join them. Seemingly unsuccessful, the call leaves Amber in tears and Andy concerned. But the surprise arrival of her aunt changes everything.

Back in Los Angeles, a startling rose ceremony ends in tears for one jilted bachelorette, as the emotional Lieutenant chooses the final three women to accompany him on the fantastic exotic dates.

    The remaining four women are:

Amber, 23, teacher, who currently resides in Sugar Land, TX.
Bevin, 28, clinic research coordinator, who currently resides in Palo Alto, CA.
Danielle I., 25, graphic designer, who currently resides in Bethel, CT.
Tessa, 26, social worker, who currently resides in San Francisco, CA.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman" is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss and Lisa Levenson are the executive producers. Martin Hilton and David Bohnert are the co-executive producers. "The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman" is broadcast with Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.

Aw. That means he'll probably see his fiance too since she lives in California. I assume that since Hawaii is so far whenever he is on the mainland, they sneak off together.

Ok, the below episode description has been bothering me:

"Andy takes the other woman horseback riding on the beach before they swim and canoodle in the ocean. After the women's professions of love in one last attempt to capture the Bachelor's heart, Andy delivers a devastating rejection to one tearful and heartbroken bachelorette."

If you read it it reads as (knowing Tessa is horseriding girl), Andy takes Tessa horseriding, Tessa professes her love, Andy delivers a devastating rejection to Tessa (its all in the related-back "the woman"). It just reads no other way, unless there is trickery (which I hope being a Tessa fan).

    What do people think?

Since Bevin and Andy professed that they're science nerds, I'll confess that I'm a grammarian. Grammatically, the key is the word "one" in the last sentence. That doesn't mean that Tessa is the one rejected. Key to such a reading is that the preceding noun is "women"--plural, not "woman"--singular. Both women profess their love. Technically, that sentence should have begun a new paragraph. Given the poor writing of these episode descriptions :nono anything is possible.

I think this is when he sends Amber home.. it says.."to one tearful and heartbroken bachelorette". I don't read this as being Tessa.

I believe that this is from the final two date ~ the horseback riding was with Tessa.

    Interesting catch, Sassygal.
