Exactly!

Aaron and Alex were the only predecessors, so Jen and Andrew were the first success story of the series followed by Trista and Ryan who also received a lot of publicity.

Then came Bob, Jesse, Jen and Travis whose relationships didn't even make it past the final episode.

IMO those who watch the show enjoy it while it airs but realize the relationship most likely won't work in the real world and lose interest once the finale airs.

Oh, Randal, I always enjoy your posts. What did Kirsten say about Jen at the time? I can't even remember.

Is L newsworthy? I agree with those who say he is, if we see any evidence of "Bachelor" success. A match with Sadie would qualify as a successful season in some regard. After that, no, maybe people won't be interested in their daily affairs, as someone mentioned is the case with Bryan and Mary. But a wedding is another milestone of show success, so if Bryan and Mary ever plan one, I think we'll all get interested in them again, lol.

Is Larry newsworthy? I don't think so. He was on HSN before, which is watched by lots of people, still I've never heard of him before (probably because I don't watch HSN). Then he went on "The Bachelor", which as far as Hollywood is concerned, is a D-list show. The reason we know this is because way back when the show was still a popular and a ratings hit, those cheesy entertainment shows still used to cover the show goings on on a regular basis. They even hired Trista's Charlie as correspondent for a while.

Who was the last person to garner any sort of media attention and a side gig as a result of the show, you ask? It was J*n. She was on the Golden Globes, she did more interviews, there were lots of articles, magazine spreads and such but after she screwed up so royally I think she took "The Bachelor" down with her too and media attention waned towards the entire franchise, to say the least.

Aside from people with a place to kvetch and bitch about the show, namely us, I hardly think anyone gives a damn about Larry or Sadie or Jenn. "Normal" viewers just watch the show and when it ends it's over for them. I'd like to know their fate though, so I can keep score. It's damn hard to cite fuzzy statistics like "this show's success is 0 for 10" if I don't have my facts straight.

Perhaps Larry isn't "newsworthy", but I think any Bachelor that split from his first choice and ended up with his second choice before the finale ever ended, would most definitely be newsworthy!.......If indeed that is what happened.

As for Sadie dating the Olsen guy.....can't tell by those pics when that happened or whether they're "dating" or "friends"....

IF we knew where she was working now......that would tell us a lot!
