| Piano-Girl, are you talking about the link to the interview on Good Things Utah? The teleconference transcript is a different interview. It is the ABC media teleconference for reporters who have questions for Desiree. They will be using this information to write stories for their publications. I remember reporters on the line from In Touch Weekly and Life and Stlye Weekly magazines. There were a few others on the line but I don't remember their media affiliation. The call was held on Thursday 10/26/06. The ABC media relations department has a replay line anyone can call in and listen to the recorded call. I think you have to have credentials to be on the live call. I enjoy listening to the calls. When you read the articles that are published from the calls the writers usually only cover a few of the topics discussed. I transcribe the entire call. I don't do it word for word but make sure I include all of the details that were discussed so we at the FORT get the inside scoop. |

| October 24, 2006 'The Bachelor: Rome': Team Italy scores again! Let me preface this blog item by saying I try not to throw around the word "love" when it comes the participants of The Bachelor franchise. Yet even though I most definitely do not love bland-but-horny "Prince" Lorenzo Borghese, I do adore the fact that, week after week, he chooses Rome's own Agnese (pictured) -- a woman who's mastered English about as well as Paris Hilton has mastered singing -- at the expense of the American fameosexuals trying to live out their unevolved Cinderella fantasies on national television. Clearly, Lorenzo's decision is not about the conversation, and I don't think it's about physical attraction either, seeing the way Agnese's tresses are quickly devolving into something that resembles the caterpillar nests one often sees in diseased trees. Could it be Lorenzo was simply so bored with vacant, wonky-eyed Jeanette and desperate, boozy Desiree ("I'm a sexy Roman princess, baby!") that a return trip across the pond for a hometown date with Agnese proved irresistible? I mean, at least Lorenzo can be pretty certain the food will be fantastic. That said, Agnese's Roman numeral has got to be up next week, right? Not so fast, Bachelor-philes. Did you see that preview with Lisa modeling a wedding dress for Lorenzo? Isn't that just their second one-on-one date? And how about Lisa's sister spilling the beans about the pop-eyed she-beast's five-year plan to nab a spouse and some babies? For a woman who declared she knew nothing about Roman history, but everything about Bachelor history, Lisa seems oddly unaware that she's about a boiled bunny away from coming off like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. Which leaves virginal Sadie (who, with that black fur shrug and severe 'do, sort of resembled another Close character, Cruella De Vil, during the rose ceremony) and master's student (!) Jen as the likeliest recipient's of Lorenzo's final rose. (No, that's not a euphemism! Sadie's a virgin, people!) If I'm being forced to choose sides, I guess I'll root for Jen, who at the very least looked a little skittish when Lorenzo slipped her the tongue in front of hundreds of strangers at the Trevi Fountain. She may not be, as Lisa contends, "all that pretty without makeup," but at least I can't picture her cutting her own thigh in a steamed-up bathroom with Anne Archer. And on The Bachelor: Rome, that's about as close to a fairytale ending as we're gonna get. How about you, PopWatchers? Who (if anyone) are you cheering for? http://popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2006...elor_ro_2.html |

| Reality Chat: The Bachelor Video Lorenzo explains why he cried. At first he says he has no idea what they (the hosts) are talking about. Then he says it is because he dropped his ice cream. He then gives the real reason why he cried. http://tvguide.com/detail/tv-show.as...=ucepisodelist |

| The Bachelor: Rome by Maya Schechter October 23, 2006: Farewell Desiree and Jeanette Was anyone else totally surprised that Agnese got a rose tonight? Sadie, Jennifer and Lisa were obvious shoo-ins, but I thought Agnese for sure was a goner when she told Lorenzo he was the reason it would be weird on her hometown date because he didn’t speak Italian. Then in the last few minutes before the rose ceremony, he told her, “Whatever decision I make, I have enjoyed this time with you” which sounded like a pre-goodbye, and told Jeanette, “You’re still here, which means there’s obviously something about you that I like.” Damn this show and its tricky editing! While I thought Jeanette was genuine and sweet, it didn’t seem like she had enough confidence or tried too hard to stand out. Some flirting might come in handy next time she’s dating a guy who’s dating five other girls. And let’s face it, she even admitted herself that she made a lame wish after winning the chariot race (side note: how fun did that look!) That said, I hope I’m not alone in thinking that this was the most boring episode of the season. Actually I’m going to go as far as saying this was the most boring episode on any season of The Bachelor I’ve seen. (Keep in mind, there are a few I haven't seen, so please share if there exists a worse one!) I mean, where were the sparks, and the funny moments, and the parts where you think, “OK, these two really like each other”? All right, there were those two funny minutes showing Desiree and Lisa taking tequila shots, ripping off their bathing suits and jumping in the pool. And the conversation on the group date about the craziest place they’ve ever had sex was hilarious, but of course it was shown at the end under credits. Am I forgetting anything? All the hype leading up to Erica’s return was quite overrated, to say the least — although the shot of her being interviewed in a bathtub next week was priceless. Sadie and Jen’s one-on-one dates with Lorenzo were sweet and nothing really spectacular. They were both in romantic settings and both got some smooching in, but I wasn’t convinced they were falling for each other yet. I really hope the hometown dates spice up this show a bit, and seeing how they’ll include a wedding dress and a shotgun, it should make for a great episode. Oh, and Lorenzo, if it were me explaining why I chose a toga party, I would have said, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do,” not “We’re in Rome, it felt natural.” But that's just me. http://community.tvguide.com/forum.j...umID=700009436 |

I was thinking about the Reality Chat interview on tvguide.com when Lorenzo initially denies he was crying on the show. Media Stories on Bachelor 8 and 9 I am wondering if he would have left his answer as "I have no idea what your are talking about" if the girls did not continue to prod him and insist he discuss why he cried? I have noticed in some interviews he is very sarcastic and says things that are obviously not true, like in the Jimmy Kimmel interview when he said that he chose all four women. I am now starting to question if we can believe what Lorenzo says. He really had to take himself "out of the box" to do the show and I think he is uncomfortable with many of the questions that are being asked. We may be hearing the opposite of what the truth really is. ![]()

I'm finding this bachelor to be the hardest to read. Whether it's because he is naturally shy and covers it with sarcasm or he has been trained in handling the media I don't know. I wish someone would figure out his tell. Tap his foot, drum his fingers or pick his nose, something. ![]()
