Yep, nothing like television exposure to teach you that.

Hmmm. There's a modified image in this, somewhere...

Hey, Everyone--

Could somebody please tell me how to access abc's video clips? I've tried everything I can think of to get them to play--even downloaded the latest version of Windows Mediaplayer. Alas, no amount of clicking will get anything to play.

Thanks in advance!

Go to ABC's website, they're embedded in the page there. If you need to, go to Adobe and install the newest version of Flash Player. You don't need the add-ons like Yahoo Toolbar. Then try ABC again.

I wonder if Kelly got into trouble about all the fun she has made and perhaps that is why she didn't do her weekly recap?

'BACHELOR' REALITY TV 'PSYCHO'

Post staff writer

October 25, 2006 -- A REJECTED contestant from "The Bachelor: Rome" is taking aim at a fellow contender, labeling her a "psycho" who is obsessed with reality TV shows.

The accuser is Jami Matzke, 27, of Galveston, Texas, who was dumped by the star of the current edition of "The Bachelor," "Prince" Lorenzo Borghese, on last week's episode.

Interviewed this week on a Houston TV station, KHOU, Matzke blasted Lisa Blank, 25, of Portland, Ore. Blank is one of four finalists still competing to capture Borghese's heart on the ABC reality series.

"She's a whiz," Matzke said of Blank's keen insights into the world of reality TV. "She knew all this stuff about the show. She told me whoever went on the second one-on-one date would go home. . . .

"She is psycho. She told us she had applied for all of these other reality shows."

Matzke revealed that much of what went on during her participation on the so-called "reality" show was actually scripted.

"The experience I had was nothing but positive," she said. "But the producing is what got to me. It is very scripted, and I think when you're watching TV, anyone with half a brain can figure that out."

Is Lisa's last name Young or Blank? Things that make you go hmm

Out of reality, and now back to reality

By Jamie Sotonoff
Daily Herald Staff Writer

Posted Wednesday, October 25, 2006

Jeannette Pawula, the Maine West alumni who got cut from the final six on “The Bachelor: Rome” this week is still looking for love.

And a job.

The 23-year-old is temporarily working at a bar near her new digs in Lincoln Park, where she’s occasionally given a rose by a friend or admirer and asked if she’ll accept it. (She will).

Pawula’s also dusting off her resume in hopes of finding a new teaching job, the profession she had before venturing into (or out of) reality.

In an interview Tuesday, Pawula said everything you’d expect her to say about her experience on “The Bachelor,” given that there was an ABC representative listening in on the call and she’s restricted by contract about what she can say.

The highlights: The bachelor is a good, down-to-earth guy with a dry, sarcastic sense of humor; being on the show was an incredible experience; she still hopes to find love one day.

And clearly, she’s still speaking fluent Bachelor-ese.

“We didn’t have as strong of a connection as he did with the other women, but he’s still an incredible guy,” she said. “I am looking for love and hopefully I can find that. I just have to find the right person.”

Pawula acknowledges it was probably weird for her former students at Rolling Meadows High School, where she once worked part time, to see her frolicking around in a bikini on national TV. But most people were encouraging and supportive, she said.

To her, the best part of the experience was spending a month in Italy, making new friends and getting to know herself better, Pawula said.

“Everything about it was amazing,” she said.

Does anyone know when Lorenzo's next interview is?

ABC rep. listens in on calls?

One thing i've found notable this series is the number of castoffs who have commented on how scripted the show is. That's odd if ABC reps are monitoring them.

Erica flat out scares me. The TV guide interview was horrific.
