It seems a lot of people are really interested in his prince title and want to know more. Jimmy made a little fun of his pet product line, talked about Erica and the allotted interview time was up. I have liked Jimmy's interviews with the previous bachelor/bachelorettes in the past. This time-not so much. | |

| I'm with you pajamasan. It's easy to think that they were short on time, but wouldn't ABC want to shout it from the rafters if there was a successful result? Also, Lisa is the one of the F4 that I can't believe was chosen. She is getting the loser edit. The edit speaks volumes to me.Ian and Mer were a totally different situation. First of all they had to introduce some negativity or there'd be no suspense. Secondly he was never edited out in that it was always clear that Mer was attracted to him. The payoff was the SURPRISE proposal and the edit led up to maximizing the romantic payoff. ![]() |

| From Houston Chronicle Newspaper - http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ent/4269445.html Oct. 19, 2006, 8:50AM Rose will bring the fire back to Bachelor next week She and Matzke will face off in later episode By MIKE MCDANIEL Copyright 2006 Houston Chronicle America would get a regular dose of Erica Rose if the Houston socialite had her way. But for the immediate future, viewers will have to settle for more appearances on The Bachelor: Rome. Rejected by potential suitor Lorenzo Borghese on Monday's episode of the ABC reality series, Rose nevertheless will reappear next week — an indication of her ability to add sparks and viewers to a series that has seen better days. And on an episode to air in November, Rose and Galveston's Jami Matzke, who was also turned down by the prince on Monday's show, will meet face to face. Calling from Los Angeles, where she is looking for an apartment and future entree as an entertainment reporter (she's previously done such work on Channel 55's Wild About Houston), Rose said she was thrilled to be asked back on the show, which is taped in advance. "I didn't think all the girls were being honest with each other, and I always was," said the tiara-packing blonde. "So when I came back, I got the girls to express their true opinions, and I got to pick who Lorenzo would be with on one-on-one dates." In addition to the next episode (8 p.m. Monday, Channel 13), Rose will appear on a Nov. 20 "women-tell-all" reunion show uniting all of Borghese's suitors. That might prove uncomfortable for Rose, who told the prince that tattoos and lack of a college education made Matzke unsuitable dating material. Matzke said Wednesday that fireworks are possible. "I am very nonconfrontational," she said. "The way I get my point across is to make funny, smart-(aleck) remarks. I don't expect things to turn ugly, but I'll definitely get my digs in if I need to." Matzke, who works as a catering and event planner for a Galveston resort she preferred not to name, said being on The Bachelor was "the best summer of my life." "I'm 100 percent happy with the way I came across on television," she said. "I feel like my personality, free spirit and boldness all came across in the best way possible." In contrast, to many Rose came across as spoiled and arrogant. "I didn't realize I was crying all the time," she said about her TV portrayal. "I don't want people to think I'm this whiny girl always crying. I'm not. I'm usually a happy person." She hopes Matzke has no hard feelings. "I think she is a nice girl. I think she has a good heart. She's fun, likes to party, has beautiful skin, beautiful eyes, a perfect tan. I really don't have hard feelings about her." She just didn't think Matzke was good enough for Borghese — a point the prince took issue with. He said tattoos and an education weren't important in the long run. Besides, Rose's father, plastic surgeon Franklin Rose, could laser away an unsightly tattoo. "He can," Erica Rose said, "but he's always warned me that even with the best laser remover in the world, your skin will never be the same again." How does she feel about plastic surgery? "I think it's great. My breasts are natural. I think people have always thought they weren't just because my dad's a plastic surgeon." Has she had any plastic surgery? "A nose job when I was younger."
