| Not sure if this has been posted or not. If so, sorry. Americanized Prince Takes 'The Bachelor' to Rome Oct. 2, 2006 — Who says there's no such thing as American royalty? "The Bachelor" returns to ABC TV tonight with Lorenzo Borghese, a 34-year-old Italian-born prince who grew up in Connecticut and now helps his family operate a major cosmetics company. Borghese returns to Rome in search of "Signorina Right," with 25 American women vying for honors. At the end of Thursday's two-hour premiere, he'll say "Arrivederci" to 15 of them. "It's difficult telling one girl, 'Yeah, I really like you, you're awesome,' and then a couple hours' later going out with another girl and having the same emotions," says Borghese. "It was very difficult. "I've juggled three different companies but [juggling] 25 different women is 10 times harder than that." Prince Gives Pets 'Royal Treatment' The Americanized prince, who moved stateside when he was 5 years old, says his mother was a huge fan of the show but that his father had never heard of it. "All I had to do was explain to him that it was 25 girls trying to get my attention," Borghese says. "He thought it was hilarious." Still, marriage is hardly a joke in the Borghese household. His parents, Prince Francesco Borghese and Princess Amanda Borghese, met at a wedding in Madrid, and in July they celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. Lorenzo was born in Milan, Italy, and lived in Rome and outside Paris before his parents settled in Connecticut. He received an MBA from Fordham University in New York and lives in Manhattan. In addition to his work for the family's cosmetics company, he's also the founder and president of Royal Treatment Pet Spa, a high-end bath, body and skin care line for pets. While he's royalty by birth, Borghese realizes it's not so easy to be princely in the eyes of that special woman. "Some might think I'm a frog," he says. "Some might think I'm a jerk." "I can tell you that it's a very happy ending for me, and I hope for the girl." ABC News Radio contributed to this report. ABC TV, a division of The Walt Disney Company, which is also the parent company of ABC News. Link

| I listened to the teleconference with Rosella. They hope to have this teleconference each week with one of the Bachelorettes who didn’t get a rose. Here is a summary. Was she a fan of the show before she appeared on the Bachelor? No, she hasn’t watched the show. She just wanted to go to Rome for the experience. Do you think people perceive you as a gold digger? No, absolutely not. She said she doesn’t come from money and doesn’t need money to be happy. Selling her car was just something she had to do to be on the show. What did you need the money you got from selling your car for? She sold her car to buy clothes for the show. She said she could buy another car but not the experience she would get from being on the show. She said she didn’t sell her car for a man. What intrigued you to apply for the show? She said she had never been to Rome and had always wanted to go there. She wanted to meet new people and maybe she would be the person Lorenzo selected at the end. How did you feel when you were one of the first ones who didn’t get a rose? She was disappointed and hurt that with all of her preparation she didn’t get to stay on the show. She hoped she could have gotten to know Lorenzo a little better. Were you surprised he didn’t know any Italian? She was very surprised and shocked that he couldn’t respond to the introduction she gave him in Italian. How long ago was the show taped and what have you done to put your life together? August 9th was when the show started and she returned a week and a half later. She is currently looking for a job and a new car. What kind of car did you have and how much did you sell it for? Toyota Camry Solara, which she sold for $5,000 Did you come back to your old job? No, she is now looking for a job as a secretary and wants to do hair and make up on the side. What is your last name and where did you grow up? Her last name is Fratto. She grew up in Bridegport, Illinois and still lives there. She lived in Italy for two years while growing up. Why was it your destiny to go on the Bachelor? Her parents and grandparents were all born in Italy. She just felt she should be there. Her father and mother met in Italy and her father brought her mother back to the US. They got married and he passed away nine years ago. She felt all of the signs were there. She thought history would repeat itself and she would meet her future husband in Rome. Do you still believe you will find your prince? Have you lost hope? No, she has not lost hope. What are you going to do next with your life? What ever comes to her, she wants to love doing what she will be doing. Why do you think you were chosen to be on the show? She thought the producers loved her story and that she wasn’t fake or phony, she was real. What you saw on the show was who she was. Was there anything that happened on the show that we didn’t see that you would like us to know about? No, nothing After you were done did you get to stay in Italy and did you look for another hot Italian bachelor? No, she came home the next day. Would you ever go back to Italy and look for a man? She has already had a love story in Italy. Would your dream guy be an Italian? Not necessarily Are you rooting for any Bachelorette in particular? She likes Sadie, Jennifer, and Kim What town are your parents from in Italy? Sareo San Basile When did your father come to the USA? When he was three. He went back to Italy from 7-13. Then he went back and forth to Italy in the summers. He went back when he was 23 and that is when he met her mother. What do you think of Lorenzo? Nice, respectful, She didn’t get a chance to really get to know him. She has nothing bad to say about him. Who did you watch the show with? Twenty friends and her grandparents, her other family members had their own viewing parties. She lives with her grandparents. Do you know why you weren’t chosen? She doesn’t know. She was herself. Would you do the show again? No Would you try out for another reality TV show? Maybe it depends on the show Here is a link to a story posted in the New York Post about the interview. http://www.nypost.com/seven/10072006...don_kaplan.htm |

| Thank you Jennie - I like this new viewer twist they've added. It gives us closure if one of our favorites gets the boot.
