That would make a lot more sense! It would be a huge shocker!

If they didn't intentionally stir up all this speculation about the possibility that JP wins then they are just pretty lucky that it has come up at all because this show was SO boring and un-sleuth-worthy!

They oughta just take our story and use it, put it on a TV show, set the whole thing to music and watch where it goes.
And then they ought to paste our pictures all over the covers of those entertainment magazines. Caption over(?) it's reading, Lucky Boy and Beauty Queen...
"Scary how we fell this fast, but as long as we're together baby we could make it last. And even when the city is gone, we've got the kind of love - a love that will go on & on & on & on.

I'm not sure how to post it here but the people.com website has an article that says that Jen Schefft is still a bachelorette indicating that she doesn't end up with whoever she picked. They predict the demise of the show unless ratings pick up with the new bachelor show, fat chance on that one.
I totally agree. I did not watch the Trista season but it sounds like she gave them much more to work with vis a vis Charlie or Ryan. She seems to really have been attracted to Charlie and for a while there it was indeed not clear to her who her choice would be. So there Were probably enough scenes of genuine interest to edit to make it look like Charlie would win. Not so with Matt /Ian (it was abundantly clear to me that her body language with Matt was never there and she was just doing what the producers were forcing her to do to lead him on. Same with Jen - absolutely no body language with JP - a charming , successful, gentleman but no chemistry.Originally Posted by LavenderAC
This doesn't surprise me at all. Given the fact Jen doesn't seem 'smitten' by either man, and the fact that it would be difficult to actually meet a stranger like this....fall in love....then actually want to marry them. Odds stack way against.

I'll repeat in abbreviated form my earlier post upthread, but what I see in the Ty Stone song "Beauty Queen" is the commodification of Jerry and Jen as a couple. Whether the new song "Brighter Day" is about Jerry and Jen as a couple and thus is further commodification of Jerry and Jen or whether it's about poor, "unlucky boy" Jerry and thus commodification of Jerry, either way it strikes me as commodification. Granted, there are more lucrative ways to make money, but it's an enterprise still. Just my $0.99
lav once again I totally agree with you. Just as Ian knew that he would get the final rose (and he knew it at least by the fantasy date if not before - when Mer spent the night with him and couldnt bring herself to go to Matt's date and didnt calm down and arrive until very late in the afternoon - remember?) SO there will be little surprise for me monday night but hopefully the happy ending will be that they really do seem to be together. I hope they havent broken up already. But Jen is no actress so we will be able to tell.Originally Posted by LavenderAC
I also heard the TY song a few weeks ago and it seemed clear Jerry won her heart. "Brighter Day" could well refer to how much happier he is now with Jen in his life. It could be taken positively just as easily as negatively. The only I will watch closely for is to figure out if they are still going forward together or, if the rumors of a breakup are true.
