I went against the majority based on this statement in his blog:
regarding Des "I doubted my decision the night I sent her home, and a part of me still thinks I should have taken her to Thailand."
Since he was dead set on taking AshLee and Lindsay, if he would have taken Des - then Cathrine would have been sent home. If his F1 is Catherine, I think it would hurt her to see that statement.
I voted for Catherine for a few reasons:
First I just plain like her better. Lindsay is still too much of a kid & her voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard.
I like her better with Sean. His face just lights up when he's around her. So does hers.
She seems like more of an equal to Sean.
Let's face it: They probably won't make it to the end of the Summer, much less Year, so I just want my favorite to win.
This season was so much harder to predict & kept giving false indications, so I have 0 confidence in my picking ability.
Looking forward to tonight.
I have no idea. I'm wondering if I should have an idea, given these poll results.
On Catherine's side: the editing seems to indicate they have friend chemistry, and he's been preaching best friend all season long. Also, why would he keep picking her when it would be so easy to dismiss her based on career and family situation?
On Lindsay's side: Sean seems more about image than anything else, and she is perfect in every way imaginable (not my own assessment - everyone has flaws - just in a Stepford sense). Strangely, this seems to be a negative - like rooting for a white kid from a prep school to get the scholarship to Harvard.
Either way, both women seem quite nice and I will feel bad when I read about the inevitable breakup six months from now.

Lindsay fits his life on paper and that will probably be her downfall. I voted for Catherine because I think she is his heart against all odds, though I do like him and Lindsay together. Perhaps a surprise tonight?
