Possible answer #2 -- Des wasn't going to be F1 anyway, and TPTB wanted good TV.
I know which one I believe.
This isn’t the Sound of freaking Music we’re watching.......sdl
I would say that Lindsey is my least favorite of the F3 but I almost think she's the best match for Sean. (I say 'almost' because I don't really see any of them being a forever match). Lindsey does seem awfully young, but maybe Sean would do best with someone he can 'guide' through life a bit.
I like AshLee and she seems very genuine but I agree with those who say she would do well to deal with her abandonment issues before committing to someone for life.
Catherine is my favorite but from what I've seen, I think the morphing into each other's lives might be a challenge. I think Sean wants to lead and I imagine he would expect his wife to follow, to some extent -- move to Texas, adapt to his lifestyle, find a way to fit into his life and goals -- and I don't see Catherine doing that; she seems fairly ambitious and independent. Plus Sean doesn't seem terribly ambitious and I think she might grow frustrated with that.
I think the big-picture issues (like 'what's our life gonna look like in 10 years') are easy to overlook when you're in the early stages of a relationship -- believe me, I've done that a few times! But when you get past the infatuation, it's a little tougher to compromise on things like that.
This might sound awful but I think a very big reason Sean did not choose Desiree was the difference in social class between the two families.
Is Sean currently living in Dallas? I thought I had read somewhere that he was living in Los Angeles. We know he works part-time as a fitness model and not sure if he is still working in the insurance industry. It wouldn't surprise me if Sean had some Hollywood ambitions much like many of the contestants on this show who use it as a springboard to go on to something better, or what they perceive as better.
The whole shower scene at the end was just too much. Too voyeuristic. Sean does think highly of himself, doesn't he?
Don't get me wrong. I looovvves me some good-lookin' man, but puhhhhlease. Enough already. And I didn't even see the whole clip.
P.S. If I had a great body like Sean --actually, like any of the girls or Bettes-- I might think pretty highly of myself, too! I just wouldn't show it on TV that way.
As much as Sean has mighty good form, that shower scene, IMO, was baaad form.

Impossible things are being done every day.
Sean no longer works in the insurance industry. He currently co-owns a high end custom furniture store with two of his friends. It is called The Factory Girl. That's where he works. I think the only fitness stuff he has done lately in the fitness video shoot he did last summer for his good friend's program. As to Sean's ambition, I think he is very ambitious. He talks about wanting to expand his business to more locations and make connections to expand his business further.

Me think-ist he was just washin' chlorine off his bod after a swim in the pool.
Works for me.
