It's amazing what they cover in kindergarten these days as oppose to when my 39 year old daughter went. It's more like 1st grade at that time and builds up skills daily to be prepared for 1st. In fact, Coop is reading short stories now!
I am raising and 8 and 6 year old great niece and nephew and kindergarten was a lot like 1st grade back in my day. Mine have came out of kindergarten knowing how to read and do simple math and a multitude of other things. Since we don't have all day kindergarten they were having to cram a lot of stuff in 2 1/2 hrs.

I personally don't care one way or the other whether the couples in this show make it or not because the success rate is nil to none and if some of them do make it good for them. I just watch what is happening with them and what we have been shown and make my comments accordingly like all other posters do. We none of us see all things alike.

Along the way some of the participants give us some really good entertainment.

Nothing was broadcasted on the show or even in the press about JED's end.
Jake is a famewhore who would sell his soul to the devil to be on TV - ergo their on air breakup.

Jill was still under the same contract guidelines yet she and Ed were not forced to breakup on air.

As I like to say this season - can't have it both ways, which one is it?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what CH said at the AFRC to Brad that 'today was supposed to be your wedding' seems to me that implies they were planning it - no? And they had planned on having it in Anguilla.

I think Charlotte's Spring Break is the first week of June (someone help me out here
)....that would make perfect sense to me. (perhaps Emily and Ricki will spend Spring Break in Austin...??)

Brad travels to Charlotte every 2 weeks....Emily and Ricki travel to Austin every 2 weeks. See...I've got everything figured out...LOL

BabyFaceC made the comment that he was looking forward to getting to meet lil' Ricki.

I think it's a WISE idea for Brad and Emily to have "this special time alone" this week....reconnecting, etc.

Who knows....I could be TOTALLY wrong about it all....LOL
This may have ready been answered, but Spring Break for CMS is from April 18th-22nd.

BabyfaceC: Thanks for clarifying the "trying to have a baby" statement. BTW, will Brad and Emily be doing any interviews down the road? Would they even consider it? Please tell them to hang in there and I am very happy for them!

I think it can be both; the contract leaves it open for the show to decide. If it fits their image, they can do whatever they want. Why are they going to damage Jillian's image just before she becomes one of the faces of Extreme Makeover? Not going to happen. With Jake, he crashed and burned on DWTS and the public break-up was a nail in his coffin. ABC had washed their hands of him.

Exactly what I was saying above. There was some sort of plan for them to get married on a specific day. For Emily to put the kibosh on it because she wanted a "real wedding" with all the trimmings instead of a quickie thrown-together ceremony is NOT the same thing as saying, "No way, it's too soon to be talking marriage."

I didn't take it that way. I took it that it was proposed (no pun intended) to them, they considered and then declined. Or perhaps when Brad stated that he tried to marry her "while the show was airing", that was when MF thought that it would be spectacular to do it on ATFR and offered that as a way to do it. I think that Emily wants to have a wedding that involves her family and friends and she didn't think that a secret wedding or one that was done quickly in private fit that bill. Plain and simple. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.

oh please - you make it sound like the couples aren't even allowed to breakup unless ABC/MF allows it and they deem it necessary to be a public, not public breakup. that's crap.

The intent of my post was to discuss only the ways the show uses the couples' relationships and breakups to their advantage. In no way do I think that Fleiss can control them, but ABC does get to decide media/publicity of the relationship, per the contract.

    Thanks for your thoughts.
