There was a lot of backlash for Nick V too, right? His season turned out just fine. I think Arie is a good choice for the lead. Yes, it breaks the most recent mold, but change is good. Quite frankly, TPTB allowing the Twitterverse to hold so much sway in decisions is ridiculous. The fans only see the finished product, and there's much more to the show than that.

I was surprised to hear The Bachelor statistic that only Sean has married his F1. Perhaps they're trying to foster more successful relationships moving forward? They have a good lineup for future casting when the time is right: Alex, Ben Z, Eric, Peter...

I'm not sure Nick had two articles on him, people and one other for Arie. I don't think it's just the Twitterverse. I didn't care for Nicks season because I knew he'd never marry, it was all for show. If it looks the same for Arie, its dead in the water before it starts.

I don't think he's changed as much as I wanted to believe. He's still very much a player, who will dump his GF for a chance to be on TV. That's what Nick did, and look how that ended up.
