No it isn't, I agree. But that was a rule of the task. They had to design a cake and sell it as is, no variations allowed. She could have stated it in a different way, perhaps, but the fact remained. It was not negotiable.

why couldn't they design a generic cake and mark the price down?
I was watching this episode and didn't think that there were any rules to just make a generic 4 layer wedding cake and mark the price really low. They could've probably sold a lot right?

The only thing they could adjust was the size. The design had to remain, color and all. They also set the price.
