Piers never claimed to be anything than a smug a-hole, and seemed somewhat proud of it. But, in the end, he is smart enough to understand that when it comes to the Trumpster, that $$$$ wins over personality and class every time.

| Re: Celebrity Apprentice Finale Just about every challenge they had the entire season was judged on monetary results. As Piers said last night, it was a business copetition. So is it a bad thing to judge the winner on money over personality when it is a business competition, and not a "most liked" contest?

| Re: Celebrity Apprentice Finale My opinion was not that Piers was blasting Baldwin for being a christian, but for his non-drinking. |

| Re: Celebrity Apprentice Finale I thought that Piers was blasting Baldwin for expressing high values / standards in the board room, but not practicing those same standards in the competitions. There were several times - the most notable being the week that the men's team was "spying", when during the competition, Stephen would be excited and participating in some tactic, and then when they got in the board room, he'd blast Piers for having used such tactics, saying that he would not do such an immoral thing. It came across as Stephen trying to appear to be something to Trump that he really wasn't, which is why I thought that Piers was quick to jump on him for it.

Trump made almost every competition about who could bring in the most money, and Piers consistently did so. But, he was also consistent in other areas as well.... no tact, no class, vile, etc... Trace did well in every competition, and was also consistent. Unfortunately, he didn't have the bright shiny numbers that Piers had. This season was less about what you know and what business acumen you have, and more about who had the bigger names in their blackbook, which Piers had hands down.

The really funny thing is Piers has lead a much more Christian life than Trace or Baldwin yet people throw their arms around those two guys. Both have had alcohol problems. Trace was abusive to his first wife to the point where she was that scared she shot him.

![]() I'd heard that Trace has a history of domestic violence, and I'm posting an article in a separate thread. It's almost laughable how people are embracing him as Mr. Nice Guy. Just as comical is Stephen's need to blather on about what a Christian he is. Real Christians don't feel compelled to do that. You are correct, Piers ha led more of a Christian life than either Trace OR Stephen.

| Re: Celebrity Apprentice Finale I am pretty sure Piers was playing a part for the sake of the show. His English humor and directness are not the norm in the US but most of the drama was manufactured. No way on earth anyone has remotely tactless as Piers was portrayed would ever have so many contacts. It was a GREAT season though. Loved every minute of it, and Piers was the main contributor in terms of entertainment and fund raising. BTW - Trump never came clean in the show but he has been close friends with Piers for many years. |
