| Re: Trace Adkins - Country Music Star Peanut allergies are deadly. It is an admirable cause to back. also, if you notice his charity is for the research, and possible cure, of all food allergies the peanut butter is close to him because of his daughter. You don't hear about this type of charity as much as the heart association, etc. The little guys deserve backing as much as the big guys. | |

| Re: Trace Adkins - Country Music Star Who among us honestly has the right to judge which charities are "more deserving" than others? A cancer survivor would think that cancer research is more deserving. He nearly lost a child to a food allergy, so to him the FAAN is more deserving - and I think he's fortunate that he has the opportunity to use his celebrity to try and do something about it in hopes that other parents won't have to go through what he did. It's certainly not something that deserves to be made fun of.

| Re: Trace Adkins - Country Music Star First off Trace is not one of the "little guys" - just because some people don't know country music makes him no less of a celebrity than someone like a former Olympian that no one has heard from in year. I am sure some people love Marilu and Nadia but I personally don't follow them as I do Trace. Also is anyone questioning the others choices for charity? Trace has gone in front of lawmakers and state assemblies to try and get this made into a law that schools and teachers need to be aware of the possibilities of children dying due to their lack of knowledge. And I would think, if something effected your own child, no matter if it effected 10 others or millions of others, that it would be the most deserving charity - for you at least, and thats all that counts. I can only hope that he gets to tangle with Omarosa - she is just too sickening to watch, her behavior - pouring a drink over someones head - telling someone that "unfortunately" she knew Baldwin - insulting the Brit - c'mon - that isn't normal professional conduct. And yes you can pretty much guess by my response here in favor of Trace that I am a huge fan and have been since I saw him live for the first time (of about 20 so far) in late 2004. He is a family man, a true gentleman, and not to mention HOT ! I saw him on Opry a few weeks ago and he didnt hint at anything - but I know at one of his recent book signings he was saying that there were lots of times that he had to almost chew his tongue off and also that he walked out of the room alot to not say something he shouldn't have. I hope he makes it as far I would like and raises tons of money for his daughters charity. |

| Re: Trace Adkins - Country Music Star If the history of this show predicts how this season will unfold I don't think he has a chance. Trump seeks the aggressive player and puts a lot of value in fighting to be heard. Having said that, this season is other and difficult to predict. Trump likes to rub elbows with the famous so for this reason alone he will stick around longer than some of the sports figures. |

| Re: Trace Adkins - Country Music Star I am not the biggest fan of his music, some is good, some is too country for me. But I do like him a lot as a person. At least what I've seen in interviews and things. He just seems like such a genuinely nice guy. Very grounded, down to earth, and a true family man. Unlike most of the others who want to be on the Apprentice to extend their 15mins of fame, or stroke their ego, Trace strikes me as someone who would want to do the Apprentice because it sounds like fun, and a good way to raise money for their charity. I think we'll be suprised at how well Trace will do because he is able to deal well with people and also have the freedom to say what he feels because he doesn't feel like he has anything to lose. As for his charity I think its a good one even though I think he'd be better off giving the money to research into a vaccine for people with food allergies rather then trying to change everybody elses eating habits. When I heard about the healthy 16yr old girl who kissed her boyfriend and then died because he had ate a peanut butter sandwich before kissing her, I was shocked. Are you kidding me? This is where we're at in this modern America? With all the vaccines and medicines we have today, we couldn't stop this from happening? And instead of finding a cure, everyone wants to ban peanuts and other things from schools. Oh yeah, thats a fail proof plan. |

But unless I am wrong in what I heard I thought the FAAN charity was not only for awareness of the issue to light but also to help research and such on the medical side of how to help it. I just cant wait for him and the big O witch to get into it He makes no bones about it and says that he wont cheat ya, he will beat ya fair and square but since he is not that well known outside of country music the bar is set way low for him to succeed so it won't be hard for him to meet his goals. I just wish they ran them all in one nite - the week to week is gonna kill me waiting | |
