| Coughing up blood FYI Quote:
While it's true that a nosebleed could result in some blood dribbling down the back of your throat into your lungs and cause some blood to come out when you cough, coughing up blood is not something to take lightly. It is called hemoptysis by folks in the medical field and could result from less serious things like a nosebleed or bronchitis, or even just irritation from a lot of coughing, but it could also represent tuberculosis, a lung tumor, or a problem with the blood vessels in the lungs, such as an aneurysm or the rarer vascular anomalies like pulmonary sequestration. The vascular problems can cause so much loss of blood that it can be life endangering. A lung tumor could be a benign one such as a carcinoid or it could be a malignant tumor, like lung cancer. (FYI, asbestos exposure has a latency period of about 20 years to cause lung cancer.) A tumor could cause bleeding by eroding into an airway. If it's TB, then the patient has the potential of infecting everyone around him/her. If you've noted weight loss, a slight fever, and night sweats, then think of TB, get a chest x ray, and get treated so you don't infect everyone around you. In any case, coughing up blood deserves prompt medical attention and a chest x-ray, to rule out TB, cancer, or other treatable life-endangering problems. Hope this helps. | |

| It wouldn't be the first time someone embarassed themselves on this show. We all remember the Yahoo fiasco. |

| My wife and I both got the impression that the crying sounds were added when Andrea was walking away from the camera at the end. Her situation may or may not be serious, but I believe this was added to create the cliffhanger crisis. Loved the “Who’s Pepi?” exchange between Donald Trump and Carolyn. When he has announced to be on Lee’s team, I was thinking the same. If Lee wins The Apprentice, Donald Trump will have to hire Lenny too. |

Crap like that, though, is too sensationalistc. I just find it tacky and cruel, if she has a serious health issue, for them to treat it like another episode of Rikki Lake. And if she doesn't have a serious health issue (or potential one), it's just tacky and cruel as well to play it up like that. The whole thing was terrible. Shoot it straight, but can the editing crap.
