Suncat & GT Mom, glad you agree. I've seen people semi-panic the first time they cough up blood. The times it's happened to me, no doctor or nurse seemed too concerned when I mentioned it, and it never turned out to be anything serious.

Perhaps it was when he said to the WWF lady that he wanted to do whatever "you guys" want ... or maybe it was when she called, identified herself and he responded with "yeah. What's up ?" Pause ... "What's up?" she says. Yikes ! Granted the lady is pretty down-to-earth, and shall we say unpretentious, but how unprofessional can Lee get ?

Judging from the infamous meeting and her comment about having run the event for the last 6 years, she sure sounds and acts as if she may not appreciate being sidelined this year. This is where he missed yet another opportunity to invite her to outline exactly how it's been done before and figure out how to make her feel more important.

Lee is a dolt.

I'm not watching this episode. I'm glad I read this spoiler. My mom was coughing up blood and ended up dying in the hospital. She choked to death on it. Very rare, but it happens. I'm not a doctor, so I won't say "It is not serious."
BTW, if they left this as a spoiler (ie her medical condition) I'm not watching this show again next year.

OK, I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds the timing of Andrea's 'illness' more than a little suspicious. I immediately thought of how something like this (being 'down a man', having to scramble to find a replacement for Joe Piscopo, find your 'missing' celebrity, etc.) happens in just about every, single finale. It was just a bit too convenient for me. I'm heartless and evil, I guess, but I will be really surprised if it turns out that Andrea was really, genuinely ill (not that they'll ever admit to producer tampering if that is what happened).

Allie - I didn't see your post until after I posted. I am SO sorry for your loss.

My opinion of the situation with Andrea's sudden illness is based solely on past experience with this show specifically, and how things tend to go in the finale. This opinion would be the same regardless of which apprentice was affected and whatever the circumstance (disappearing, illness, not proofreading the handouts, etc). I just don't trust this show not to manipulate things any more.

Allie, sorry to hear about your Mom -- very sad. You're right that it CAN be something serious. I was basically just giving my "guess" as to what I thought it would turn out to be. Sorry again about your Mom.

Lee certainly isn't looking very good so far, after allowing Lenny to pick his team and now stumbling and fumbling with the task. Certainly set to look like the loser.

On the other hand, Sean lusting over Tammi and not going to meet the major sponsor in favor of the dinner menu was a big mistake, IMO. TPTB even show him setting the table for the team. Truth is, this guy would make a better butler for Trump than an Apprentice!

Lee and Sean are the weakest Final 2 ever, so next week could actually be another Apprentice first .... as Trump decides to hire neither one of them!!

Thanks, Lynne and Secret. It is not the posters. It is the people putting on the show. If you never had it happen to you, you would not even think about such a thing. You guys are just reacting to what was on the TV/ And I'm sure a serious illness would have prompted many a leak in bloggers.

Just one of my hot buttons. Like eating while driving. Seen too many people die after trying to unwrap a hamburger.

That's just terrible, and I can see how this episode would have been quite hard for you.

In my opinion, if Andrea's illness WAS something serious, they would not have included it. There just would have been something about Andrea leaving due to medical reasons and it wouldn't have been highlighted. I can't imagine the negative feedback they would receive if indeed it was something serious. They were showcasing it, and also showcasing Tammy asking her to pick up stuff, no Apprentice medical staff called to the site, etc. If it turned out to be something serious featured like that, I think the producers would really be called out for not providing her with immediate care, not having someone escort her, etc.

I haven't had such an experience, but nonetheless you have had me re-think and I must say that if, as so many here think, it is a set-up ... that is that they took "dramatic license" and fabricated this medical problem with Andrea ... it's inappropriate at the least. Your situation being case in point.

Hope your hot buttons have cooled down.
