Wait, wait, I think you are confusing a few things here.
The "Profile Privacy" screen is new to this upgrade. We didn't have it previously. In the past, if you entered your AIM screen name it appeared in your profile, which is viewable by everyone. You could set whether someone could email you, but whatever you entered in a field was displayed on your profile.
The birthdate did have a privacy pop-down menu starting from previous versions, and yes - that should not have changed between upgrades and apparently did. But the rest of it is brand new and the default was already set to everyone because there weren't other choices. You could choose whether certain things showed on your profile, such as gender, but you could not choose to disclose it only to friends or registered members. It was either on the profile or not.
I think the only exception that was blogs and photo albums. You might be remembering those settings, not your general profile settings. You could make blogs private to yourself, your friends or groups (which we don't use), or public to everyone.

Is anyone having any problems with getting logged out? It's happening to me this afternoon.
I still find it slow (using firefox). The only time it has been fast of late was using Safari.

Arcade and Casino (now called "Gameroom") are both enabled now. I made some adjustments under the hood, please let me know if you're still seeing performance issues.
I'm still finding it extremely slow. And, I'm on the latest version of Firefox.
THanks
