    Re: Site Adjustments

I have re-enabled quick reply. Hope that helps. In regards to browser issues, I would recommend that you clear the browser cache and see if that helps improve things. I've seen lots of weird behavior on browsers and usually a cache cleaning helps wipe out the cruft.

Instructions can be found on google or you can PM me if you need help.

    Re: Site Adjustments

I just posted and I took a look at the forum index and the thread and both reflected that my post was the latest with the correct time.

If someone can help me reproduce the issue, I would be happy to look further into it.

I think the same thing happened earlier tonight in the DWTS show discussion thread - only the first 5 or so posts were showing up. It just happened to me with this thread - I could see from the main forum page that Lucynda had posted in here, but when I clicked into the thread, the last reply showing was for you at 10:28.

Speed isn't an issue for me, so other members will have to chime in on that.
I started noticing the same problem last night. If I'm on the site awhile, and going in and out of various threads, when I click into a thread for a second time, the mail icon will look open and it will show a new poster as the last, but I'm not able to view the last post. When I exit the thread, instead of the letter icon now looking closed, it still looks open. When I logged into my work computer today, the same thing happened...though I was able to see the new posts from today the first time I logged in. I'm not computer savvy enough to know if servers or what else may be the issue, but my home computer is a Mac, and work is a PC

Frey - it is working very quickly for me today! I am using Firefox 7.0.1. Still a little slow when I click the "go to last post" icon - it still takes some time to get to the bottom of the page but overall I see an improvement.

Thanks for adding "Quick Reply" back in!

I haven't had any issues, other than the really slow-to-get-to-last-post issue. I'll try it again to see how it's doing.

Sorry for my ignorance on this -- what is the "go to last post icon"? I usually click into the thread and click on the last page. how are you getting to the last post?

I'm glad you're enjoying the quick reply. Let me know if there is anything else is missing that used to be here...

In every forum, adjacent to the date and time of the most recent post, there's a little icon with a double arrow (>>) - it takes you to the last post in the thread.

    Got it, thanks.

I did reproduce the issue and I saw that it was waiting for the page to completely load before actually "jumping" to the last post.

Well -- I just made a change that really looks like it sped things up. Let me know if the "jump to latest post" button works a bit faster now.

    Re: Site Adjustments

Today, the list on the "View all Subscribed Threads" page doesn't change at all. Everything that was there when I first opened the page is there, no matter what I do.....everything stays emboldened and NOTHING closes up.

    Re: Site Adjustments

I am using Firefox. Until today, I didn't have any speed problems, just the new post problems. The speed slowed down considerably today but it went right to the new post when I clicked the "new post" icon. No jumping. I did notice that it sped up a little in the last 5 minutes since I have been on.

Thanks for all you are doing to try to fix the problems.
