Re: Ack - redirected ads and pop ads taking over browser

John posted about this same thing happening a couple weeks ago in another thread, so here's hoping it will be a short-lived problem.

Otherwise I'd just assume I was infected with a plain old BH....
I'm still not sure that isn't the case, but it only happens when I am am FORT, and only recently.

Any thoughts? Anyone else having similar probs?

I did report this issue to TV Guide, and they were checking it out.

Thank you very much.
The redirect popups reminded me of the saying 1 step forward for 2 steps back.
A twilight zone loop.

This is awful. I absolutely can't use this site anymore until these things go away. They pop up every two seconds, and say they'll redirect, but they won't.

I hope this gets resolved, because the site is impossible to read otherwise.

Okay... it isn't happening so frequently for me that it makes the site a PITA, but it's happened twice today. The first one was a Snickers ad and this second one was some OnlineMarketGroup type of thing. It has only happened when I first clicked onto any thread....(I don't think they both were on the BB forum. Will watch.)

That's exactly what mine were. It got so bad that I couldn't get on at all last night...couldn't read or comment on the first night of my beloved BB . Of course, I'm not having trouble here on my computer at work...not that I'm not working...I mean I was just checking....yeah . But thanks John for looking into it. Hopefully home computer will be good by tonight!

Re: Ack - redirected ads and pop ads taking over browser

It's also been happening to me. I keep getting hijacked and redirected and it's locking up my computer so that I have to use alt/control/delete to even shut the browser down to get out of the ad loop because it won't respond to anything else.

It's maddening.

I use Enigma browser

Re: Ack - redirected ads and pop ads taking over browser

I have had no problems accessing Fort, either at home or at work. I use Firefox consistently at both locations.

Re: Ack - redirected ads and pop ads taking over browser

I use IE at work and Firefox at home and I haven't had any problems (hoping I'm not cursing myself now!)
