It might be nice to have a thread that told what abbreviations meant. Some people just may not be as computer-lingo savvy as others. Then again, I'm convinced that some people just make up the abbreviations as they go along!

What's OTT?
It took me a while to figure out TPTB.
I agree with prhoshay for a instruction sheet for abbreviations. (ever notice that the word abbreviation is so long and there's really no way to abbreviate it?)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I hate lingo - I won't speak lingo and I won't respond to it, either. Just ask my kids. I want them to be able to speak correctly and at least write a sentence!
Thank you CrossingGuard I can't for the life of me figure out MTA. It looks like it would be used similar to P.S after a paragraph.![]()

I had been lurking on FORT for about 4 years and had never posted because I was afraid to make a mistake. I decided to get brave and joined recently. For the reason I was afraid to join is the very reason I love FORT. People are polite and, if not, are called on it. I'm 62, so thank you for not allowing computer lingo! I believe that I did have one post deleted because I failed to read the very first page that gave the rules for that particular one. I'm slowly learning!!
