I was just wondering how can we post a link to an article so that instead of the URL it says TVGuide.com (or whatever the source is)? I find it looks better instead of the enire URL number. Thanks!

Here's how, using the forum front page as the target site:
[ url=http://www.fansofrealitytv.com/forums/index.php?s=]Fans Of Reality TV[ /url]
Take out the spaces when you're actually posting, of course. The result:
Fans Of Reality TV
The URL of the link is in the [url ] tag, while the text displayed in the post is between them.
In the advanced reply mode, you can also use thebutton, and it will walk you through the steps. You have to have the "Standard" editor interface selected in your options in order to see the button.

Leo, in your URL you added an "s" after the question mark. The "s" isn't in the Forum front page URL. Are you supposed to manually type the "s"?Originally Posted by Leo

Well, that's weird. The URL in my bookmark for the forum front page hasthe "s=", so the answer would be no, since in my example the "s=" is part of the URL.
The "s=" should be there if you're logged in. Otherwise, it won't. It doesn't matter either way, though.
I have a question:
How do you post the article????
please
You can highlight the text, copy it, then paste it into a reply box here.
But don't forget to also post the link or the article will be deleted.

Thanks hepcat
I'm still stuck, as you can see by the test thread.
I have a test post saved to a folder.
I try to unload, nothing is displayed except gibberish
I'm doing something wrong ?????
