    Very, VERY Old PMs

I was going through my PMs to delete some, and I found something very weird, a PM dated "12-31-1969."

Though I'd share what I considered something funny. Hope this is okay to post.

I know in some systems I work on - that is the date equivalent of 0. these system store the number as a numerical value using that date as the starting point (think it has more to do with UNIX systems). so probably the date was lost and it assumed 0.

It's very likely that those PM's date back to when we were on version 2.x of vBulletin. Now that we're on 3.x, it may have lost the original date in the conversion.

How odd, though. But that is the equivalent of "0", as mkw pointed out, in computerese.

That is so odd . I have some saved pms that predate the Fort opening saved just for fun and sentimental value. They still have the correct date and have survived all of the editions of vbulletin since day 1. I wonder why some ended up that way and not others ?

She's not a softy. Those are blackmail PM's if I've ever heard of 'em.

I had the same kind of message. The odd thing is that the pop up which said I had a new message claimed it was from me and had the Subject line "School House Rock". But there was no actual message attached to the place where the PM from 1969 was.

dfleming - I just came here to do exactly that, having been born in 1967. I guess that means I'm Very, VERY, very old
