    This is 2 separate questions...

where would be an appropriate place for it
    on FORT.
The answer to the first is probably a site where discussion of the separation of church and state takes place. The answer to the second qualifier is that I can't think of a place where it would be appropriate.

Could I start a thread just describing the celebrations in my own Belfast school? Is that acceptable? Or could I just add to a general Christmas discussion?

I started a thread and copied in an interview I found on another site with two recently fired contestants. It was removed right away. What did I do wrong there? Should I not have copied it (at) all or supplied a link and paraphrased? Was it redundant? I didn't see that it existed elsewhere. I'd appreciate your input so I don't repeat my error.

If it was from a fan-site (i.e. owned by a person or company that doesn't get paid to cover the news), then it may not be posted here, with or without a link.

If it WAS from a professional news source, then it needs a link back to the original content in all cases.

Sources like fishbowl and RNO, etc. are non-professional fan-sites, and links to their content (or their content) is not allowed.

    Thanks John.

It was from CNN, so all I needed to do was add a link and it would have been okay?

I appreciate the clarification. I've read the rules but I'm still a bit clueless sometimes.

Yep, if it was from CNN, that's acceptable. Just include a link to the original content, and you're golden.

I've PMed you about this, John, but you did not answer so I decided to ask you here, too. I created a thread called Thank Yous in General Discussion and it was deleted 3 days later. I wasn't sure why, and was wondering. Could you please tell me so I don't make the same mistakes over and over! Thanks.
