I have a problem:

Whenever I go to save an avatar from the ANTM Avatar thread, my computer automatically saves it as a bitmap image. Apparently it IS a valid image file, but whenever I try to upload an avatar to my FORT account it says it is not a valid image file.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

If you're using IE, sometimes that happens if your cache is full. Try clearing your cache, restarting IE, and then saving images and see if that solves it.

If that doesn't work, save it as a bmp, then use an image editor to re-save it as a jpg file, and use that.

someone might have already asked this, but how do i get a custom avatar? i cant find any link to upload it or whatever. please help?

You have to be a member for a short period of time before we allow custom avatars.

You have to use an image editor (photoshop, fireworks, gimp, paint shop pro) to resize the image, therefore reducing the file size.
