General Info
Registration FeesWant to meet all these crazy people you’ve come to know and love?
Planned by and for the members of Fans of Reality TV, Project FORTcon 2004 is now under way.If you are interesting in joining us for this weekend of Reality TV fun, please post here, PM Stargazer or email fortcon@fansofrealitytv.com with the following information:
a) Whether you are seriously considering attending
b) The ages and number of people attending with you (kids, spouses)
c) The mode of transportation you are likely to use (flying, driving)
Members of Fans of Reality TV and their significant others are welcome to attend. Although children are also welcome, we will not be scheduling events that are necessarily "kid-friendly," as the focus will be primarily on the members. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult (even local members) for all official events.
Additionally, if you are a reality show contestant, we'd love to have you make an appearance, especially if you're a Chicago local!
The HotelWe tried to keep the fee reasonably affordable at $15 per person. Reality TV contestants who are willing to attend will be exempt from this fee.
Registration fees can be paid via Paypal to fortcon@fansofrealitytv.com
If you don’t have access or would prefer not to use Paypal, please contact John via email at admin@fansofrealitytv.com for alternate payment methods. Whichever method you prefer, please include your name and FORT username so we can verify your attendance. If anyone has any further questions, feel free to pm me or contact Stargazer at the fortcon address above.
Volunteer InformationWe now have information on where the activities will be held for FORTcon.
All activities will be held at the Holiday Inn O'Hare in Rosemont. The web site to make reservations is:

The hotel's code is CHIOK in case you're calling the 800 number to make reservations, to make sure you get the right one. There are TWO Holiday Inns in Rosemont, so make sure you get the one at 5440 North River Road!
Our Group Reservation code is: FAN
We have a reduced rate of $99 (from $109) for nights surrounding the FORTcon. If you'd rather reserve by phone, please call them at 888-642-7344. The reduced rate is good through the 18th, in case anyone is staying Sunday night as well. The hotel has complimentary shuttle service from Chicago O'Hare airport (ORD). Parking at the hotel, if you're driving in, is $13/day.
PLEASE, if you're going to stay at this hotel, use our reservation code to make your reservations. Our costs for this event are based on the number of room-nights we secure under our code. We need 40 room-nights (20 rooms, 2 nights, or any combination that gets us 40 room nights) to get our negotiated reduced rates for meeting rooms, etc.
Believe it or not, we are now less than four months away from FORTcon. The little committee elves are working feverishly to make this a success, but they need *your* help. Volunteers are needed on Friday and Saturday to help with registration, t-shirt sales, games, etc. We've broken the schedule down in to half-hour shifts so that the burden doesn't have to fall to one or two people. So, if you are interested in helping out, please pm Stargazer and let her know what time-slot you would like to take. The list of open slots is below:
