It's a line from the Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young song "Southern Cross".

Yeah, that line has a dual meaning, with Survivor having taken place in the Marquesas.
    here.

I have never known what the words in that line of that song were. Now I've fitted them into the song, and can't get it out of my head.

Got out of town on a boat
    Goin' to Southern islands.
    Sailing a reach
    Before a followin' sea.
She was makin' for the trades
    On the outside,
    And the downhill run
    To Papeete.
Off the wind on this heading
    Lie the Marquesas.
We got eighty feet of the waterline.
    Nicely making way.
In a noisy bar in Avalon
    I tried to call you.
But on a midnight watch I realized
    Why twice you ran away.
    Chorus
    Think about how many times
    I have fallen
    Spirits are using me
    larger voices callin'.
What heaven brought you and me
    Cannot be forgotten.
I have been around the world,
    Lookin' for that woman/girl,
    Who knows love can endure.
    And you know it will.
    And you know it will.
When you see the Southern Cross
    For the first time
    You understand now
    Why you came this way
'Cause the truth you might be runnin' from
    Is so small.
But it's as big as the promise
The promise of a comin' day.
    So I'm sailing for tomorrow
    My dreams are a dyin'.
And my love is an anchor tied to you
    Tied with a silver chain.
    I have my ship
And all her flags are a flyin'
She is all that I have left
    And music is her name.
    Chorus
    Think about how many times
    I have fallen
    Spirits are using me
    larger voices callin'.
What heaven brought you and me
    Cannot be forgotten.
I have been around the world,
    Lookin' for that woma/girl,
    Who knows love can endure.
    And you know it will.
    And you know it will.
So we cheated and we lied
    And we tested
And we never failed to fail
It was the easiest thing to do.
    You will survive being bested.
    Somebody fine
    Will come along
Make me forget about loving you.
    At the Southern Cross.

Wow, I guess I really am too young for this board.

I've never heard of that song.
ugh. I don't get time to watch TV anymore, much less hang out at the FORT.

But don't you worry, I'll be back in full force on or about November 3rd.

Someone's comments about the Amber/Rob Survivor Finale?

    Or about the AI3 finale?

I figured I'd prepare the site for the onslaught tonight of conspiracy-criers.

You know, when your favorite doesn't win, it can't be because they weren't good enough, or the majority disagreed with you - it HAS to be a conspiracy, fraud, orgazined effort from the other camp, wardrobe malfunction, flood and famine, or some other hokey excuse...

So true, so very true. I have mine lined up if Diana doesn't win.

I completely agree John... I think it's because the FBI secretly doesn't want one contestant to win and so they unhooked their phone lines from their top secret building for unhooking phonelines (TSBFUPL)

I still don't know who they've rigged it for... but I know it was rigged.
