Hyperlinking
Ok. I have NO IDEA what or why this is happening. Hopefully someone can help me....
I was making a post and wanted to include a link to the site where I got some information.
To make a hyperlink I type it out like this;
< a href="www.fansofrealitytv.com" >Fort< /a>
(of course with no spaces)
So...after I make the link I'll space down about twice and type a paragraph. Or sometimes I'll type first, space down a couple and then create the link. <b>Here's the problem: When I preview the post, EVERYTHING is a hyperlink! Even my signature line is a hyperlink to whatever I was linking.</b>
?????
Can anyone tell me what is wrong or what I'm doing wrong? I've done it before many many times, but this is happens everytime now and I'm getting frustrated.

I just use this code vB Code List
It's easiest for me to use the insert link button on the advanced page and I guess [link] and [URL] do the same thing. The above link is [ URL=http://www.fansofrealitytv.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode]vB Code List[/URL ] without the spaces by the brackets.

Hmm...never used vB. Thanks brusch. I've never used the "insert link" option before. Just always typed my own html.
As a matter of fact, I <i>still</i> don't know how to use the "quote message in reply?" option on posts. :)
I'll try the vB code to see if it works.
Thanks!

Maveno, vb likes vbCode much better than HTML. The reason for that is security.
If you check out the various vbcodes, and get in the habit of using those instead, it'll save you trouble like you're running into.

Thanks John.
I printed out the vB codes, hopefully I'll start getting in the habit of using them instead.

The vB codes are pretty good. So good, in fact, I've almost typed them in instead of HTML elsewhere...
