Don't shoot me about the change in look! We had to upgrade the forum software to the latest version in order to take on some performance improvements, and as part of it the original templates broke. We will be making design and feature changes in short order to bring things back to bear.

Please bear with us, and my apologies.

I was wondering why I hadn't been able to log on yesterday and earlier today.

I can adapt to change . . . just not very quickly!

@TVG_Sasha - is there somewhere we can request what design and feature changes we want back?

For instance, as another poster stated when viewing a thread I used to click the link to 'view unread'. I don't want to have to go back to guessing what page the new comments start on. Also, I can't find where to filter out the forums/threads I don't care to see.

I don't really mind the new look. I would just like to be kept updated on what fixes will occur/when.

When we used to take family trips growing up, we would keep asking my dad, "When are we going to get there?" His response was always "You'll be the third or fourth one to know." (in a family of four). This is kind of the same situation.

I'm sure TVG is working hard to get everything taken care of and when it is, you'll see it. Unfortunately, they have many other things on their plate than our site.

The moderators and TVG will be deciding what features will be coming back and which ones can't be retrieved.

With the upgrade from vBulletin 3 to vB4, it blew up a lot of the old plugins we had running on the site. I am 100% sure there are equivalents for all of them, but I need to know which are the most important so I can prioritize which to take care of first. Spoilers, clearly, is important -- as is viewing threads by Unread first. I'll hit those two directly.
