AJ - Cycle 7

In the show I thought AJ was just an emo chick who was recruited through myspace and didn't know whether she really wanted to model or not. She was eliminated because she's all anti-pop-culture and was less than enthusiastic about portraying a pop-icon.
But it turns out she's more than just an emo teen rebel. She actually wanted to model and I can assume she's kept her mouth shut about stupid stuff like wearing clothes she doesn't like or changing her hair to some thing different. I mean she is over 20 it's time she grew out of it.

I don't see why I would hate A.J!!! I love her with my heart! She's my #1 favorite contestant. I like her exotic eyes. She's tall and high fashion. She's not a quiter. She just did not scream all the time how much she wanted that. And she got frustrated when Megg got eliminated. She was never "just an emo teen". Don't think she have even mentioned she considered herself an emo. She once noticed she like to be dark.
She's naturally talented. And she's way better as a model than all of those "best" girls like Joanie, Chantal, CariDee and the others.

Yeah, I'd much RATHER have a natural who doesn't exactly have the passion for it just yet (Michelle, AJ, etc.) than a girl with tons of passion and drive who is desperately trying to be a model but simply is not one.

And what do you know that most working famous models didn't dream of being models when they were younger but were just discovered once they were ripe. Models are rare for a reason, people!

exactly. I do 10000% percent agree. It is Tyra who pushes girls to want it. I rewatchhed cycle 2, and Tyra came to girls and told them they should think that there was no life without antm. That is a wrong way. A winner should be naturally talented.

And the even worse part is that Jaeda didn't want it that badly either. That week, she was giving up just as much as AJ was. So basically, AJ's elimination was flat out irrational. Period.

.. and it's only because Tyra knows Caridee cannot beat AJ because AJ is fierce, runway, high fashion, editorial, chameleon etc. She also has a cool personality too.

Actually, We should be glad that tyra chose AJ to leave. I don't think if AJ won that show, she would be sucessful like today.
We should check out what AJ did after got eliminated. She is an international model now rather than just a american model.

Yeah I think well if she won, she has lots of responsibilities as the winner in America since the show is America's Next Top Model but I think my argument is too shallow since an American Top Model can be a model around the world.

Come on, this is a dumb statement. A winner who don't want to be a model? So it will be like Andrea (CNTM 1), won and just quit the industry.

I would not be surprise if AJ had quit if tyra had called her name, just like Ebony (9)
