I wouldn't put too much stock in the supposed themes of the cycles. Tyra and Jay said in interviews that this season would be more "glamourous", often using that awful term "bling" and "dazzle". Now that we're near the end of the cycle, this themes seems every bit as insignificant as the water theme from last season.
The judges say that Nik is coming out of her shell. And about not talking about their personality. I think it's better than how they look at some other girl's personalities. Like Nicole's really cute and gawky, but they say that she has a personality problem.
The only person I think Nik resembles is Beyonce. They dont look alot alike but they are the same "type" of black girl to me especially with her hair colored like that. I dont see the Lisa bonet thing at all. I loved her pic from last episode and I love it when she pouts because big lips look fantastic on her. I really loved her personality this week. She is really mature.
Nik is much more exotic than Beyonce. They look nothing alike other than they are both black, with light complexions, and blond hair. That's it. Plus Beyonce is extremely curvy, while Nik extremely thin. Dont get me wrong I love them both, I just dont think they resemble each other at all.
If they are going by a Cinderella theme, than I would think it would have been Kim or it may be Bre? Bre and Nik did have a horse and carriage ride with two English gentlemen. Maybe they are referring more to the glamorous old traditions of Europe when they speak of a Cinderella theme?
I think last season they spoke of unusual, unique beauty types; this made me think Brandy or Lluvy would win, which of course they didn't; so, perhaps the themes are more related to their final geographical location than of the winner itself! Yes, Nik is already refined, perfect, the Cinderella theme would not personally apply to her. A Cinderella is someone who, under her tired and tattered clothing; under her sad state in life, lives a beautiful princess: well-spoken, well-mannered, and who looks fierce in Vera Wang gown.
Anyone else notice, well its not so noticable when she has lots of eyeliner on ect., but Nik has an insanely huge and lumpy nose? Everytime I saw her, I'd be like - ok - its like she's supposed to be pretty but something's off! And then when they were in Britain, there's all those shots of her w/out makeup and that honker of hers, I'm like that's it! that's it! It's the nose!!!!!!! Same with Tyra, Tyra's nose is big and weird looking, but she wears so much makeup and eyeliner, you're looking at the makeup or you're looking at her wig, you're not looking at her hideous nose.
