I think Jay made the comment AFTER Nicole declined accompanying Elyse (?) who had just won a competition with the prize of going to an influential party at an embassy. Nicole turned down the offer to go because she wanted to go back to the apartment and wait for her bf to call. Jay was basically insulted by her attitude. (Also, I think they cut her for "dead eyes" in the photos.)
