    Name Pronunciation

    I apologize if this subject has already been covered, but can someone please tell me how Xiomara and Jenascia are pronounced? And is it Yo-Anna, Yo-Onnah, or Yo-Wanna? Thanks.

    Gabrielle! I myself am not 100% sure on this, but from what I remember from what I heard on my tape, I believe it's:

    Xiomara = sho-MA-ra
    Jenascia = je-NA-sha
    Yoanna = yo-AH-na

    It's true, the predominance of exotic names in this season's competition has been a topic of much discussion in this forum. I think Yoanna's is the funniest, because it sounds as if her parents wanted her to grow up to be a real estate agent..."Yoanna House?"

    I remember it being pronounced Sho-mar-a.
    Or maybe it is "zi-o", but it sounds like "sho" when said fast?

    When Shandi introduced herself, she pronounced her name "Shayn-dee"

    Ditto to that. I think she said something about a nickname or something being pronounced see-o-me.

    yes, when catie had her little bitch-fit, she made sure to pronounce it as "Zee-o-MAR-a", completely butchering the spanish accent she was trying to use with it during her diva moment.
