The second cycle premiere of AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL sashayed its way to UPN's second largest audience (4.9mil) and best household rating (3.4/5) ever in the time period with regular programming (behind only "The Watcher" on 1/24/1995), according to final Nielsen ratings for Jan. 13.

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL delivered UPN’s best Tuesday 9:00-10:00PM ratings in more than a year and a half (since May 21, 2002) in viewers 12-34 (2.8/8), females 12-34 (3.9/11) and teens (3.1/9).

Women flocked to watch UPN's group of wannabe supermodels as AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL blew away its time period competition to rank first among women 18-34 (3.9/11), females 12-34 (3.9/11) and female teens (3.9/12). UPN ranked second in the 9:00-10:00PM time period among persons 12-34 (2.8/8) and teens (3.1/9). "AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL" ranked fourth among adults 18-34 (2.6/8).

Compared to the first cycle premiere on May 20, 2003, last night's AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL premiere improved by +66% among total viewers (4.90mil v. 2.95mil), +30% among UPN's target demo of adults 18-34 (2.6/8 v. 2.0/5), +47% among adults 18-49 (2.2/6 v. 1.5/4), +65% among persons 12-34 (2.8/8 v. 1.7/5), +50% among women 18-34 (3.9/11 v. 2.6/7), +60% among women 18-49 (3.2/8 v. 2.0/5), +63% among females 12-34 (3.9/11 v. 2.4/7) and +144% among female teens (3.9/12 v. 1.6/6).

As the second cycle kicks off its midseason run, UPN posted triple digit time period improvement in all key adult and female demos versus the same night a year ago (1/14/03), including +160% among UPN's target demo of adults 18-34 (2.6/8 v. 1.0/3), +155% among persons 12-34 (2.8/8 v. 1.1/3), +120% among adults 18-49 (2.2/6 v. 1.0/2), +119% among total viewers (4.90mil v. 2.24mil), +225% among women 18-34 (3.9/11 v. 1.2/3), +129% among women 18-49 (3.2/8 v. 1.4/3), +200% among females 12-34 (3.9/11 v. 1.3/4) and +144% among female teens (3.9/12 v. 1.6/6).

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL steadily built through the hour as the show moved towards the first elimination from the competition. The show grew by double digits at the 9:30 half hour by +17% among adults 18-34, +20% among adults 18-49, +12% among persons 12-34, +15% among total viewers and all key male and female demos.

From 8:00-10:00PM, UPN ranked second among female teens (3.3/10) and third among persons 12-34 (2.3/7), females 12-34 (3.0/9), teens (2.8/9) and male teens (2.4/8).
